Betelgeuse

Background

Betelgeuse is a Bio-Exorcist and a former case worker for the deceased. He claims to have attended Julliard and graduated from Harvard Business school. He has traveled extensively, lived through the Black Plague and has seen the Exorcist 167 times.

During the events of Beetlejuice (1988) played by Michael Keaton

Betelgeuse is reading the newspaper when he reads about the death of Adam and Barbara. He manifests into Adam's town model. Barbara calls his name three times and she and Adam are transported into the town model. Betelgeuse offers to help them get rid of the Deetz family, but Barbara and Adam decide not to use his help. During a dinner party Delia is having, Betelgeuse manifests as a giant snake and terrorizes Charles and Delia. Before he can attack Lydia, Barbara sends him back to the city model. When Otho uses the Handbook of the Recently Dead to force Adam and Barbara to appear in front of the Deetz and Maxie Dean and Sarah Dean, Lydia calls Betelgeuse. In exchange for Betelgeuse helping Barbara and Adam, Lydia promises to marry Betelgeuse. Betelgeuse sends Maxie and Sarah through the roof of the house and then changes the fireplace into a portal. A Preacher appears from the portal and begins to proceed over the marriage of Betelgeuse and Lydia. Barbara and Adam try to stop the wedding by saying Betelgeuse's name three times, but Betelgeuse sends Adam into the town model and Barbara into the sand dimension. Barbara returns to the house riding a Sand Worm which engulfs Betelgeuse. Betelgeuse is at the help center for the undead when he steals a witch doctor's take-a-ticket and has his head shrunken by the witch doctor.
