Background

The Ruler is the leader of the planet Venus.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 1 Enemies of the Universe played by Gregory Gaye

Dr. Varney contacts The Ruler and reports in. The Ruler tells Dr. Varney to investigate the town of Graphite, which Dr. Varney relays to Ross and Dr. Varney's Hood. Ross and Hardy spy on Commando Cody and Ted Richards as they work on the rocket and report it to Dr. Varney, who then reports to The Ruler. The Ruler tells them to destroy the rocket.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 2 Atomic Peril played by Gregory Gaye

Lenato and Dr. Varney report to The Ruler and Lenato tells him of his plan to steal Commando Cody's rocket ship.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 3 Cosmic Vengeance played by Gregory Gaye

The Ruler receives a transmission from Hardy giving him the recipe for Commando Cody's cosmic dust. Commando Cody lands his rocket near the mountain and Guard Number Four tells The Ruler about the rocket ship landing. Commando Cody puts on his fuel pack and The Ruler invites him into his lair. The Ruler congratulates Commando Cody on conquering space and shows Commando Cody a ray gun that he created. He then shows Commando Cody a chair that sucks out knowledge and threatens to use it against Commando Cody. A fight breaks out and Commando Cody manages to escape with the ray gun. He then uses the ray gun to melt the mountain where The Ruler is.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 4 Nightmare Typhoon played by Gregory Gaye

The Ruler temporarily stops the flooding of Earth in order to give his ultimatum. Earth must disperse the protective cosmic dust and allow his occupational forces to take over Earth. His message then continues that they must respond within 24 hours. Baylor contacts The Ruler, who is with a Venusian Girl, and tells him of Earth's request for more time. The Ruler figures out that the Earth is stalling for time and gives them two days. Baylor contacts The Ruler and tells him of Commando Cody's plan of a counter-gas and The Ruler contacts R-6 Commander and tells him to bomb the east coast of the United States.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 5 War of the Space Giants played by Gregory Gaye

Baylor calls The Ruler and Venusian Girl holds the microphone up. Baylor tells The Ruler that M-7 Captain is waiting for his next target. The Ruler tells Baylor that the next target will be the arsenal and then he will give Earth his ultimatum. Later, Captain Turon calls The Ruler and tells him of an approaching rocket. The Ruler warns him that it might be Commando Cody..

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 6 Destroyers of the Sun played by Gregory Gaye

On planet M-27, The Ruler uses a device to block the sun from Earth. Baylor calls The Ruler and asks when a rocket will be sent to Earth to pick him and Mason up. The Ruler tells him that he will send a rocket as soon as the cosmic dust dissipates. Radar Station M-22 calls The Ruler and tells him that an unidentified aircraft is heading in his direction. The Ruler tells Planet M-27 Guard Leader that it must be Commando Cody and tells him to beam the ray at Commando Cody's rocket. Planet M-27 Guard Leader tells The Ruler that there is a new dot on the radar screen. After the ray machine is destroyed, The Ruler and Planet M-27 Guard Leader head towards the bomb shelter while the guards stay in the tower. Commando Cody then bombs the mountain with the tower.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 7 Robot Monster from Mars played by Gregory Gaye

Baylor calls The Ruler, who is standing next to Venusian Girl, and tells him that he failed to get the papers or kill Commando Cody. The Ruler then tells Baylor to try again. After he is put in the mind control chair, Dick Preston is brought to The Ruler who looks over what Dick brought. Planet M-27 Guard Leader tells The Leader that a rocket is headed their way. He asks The Ruler if he wants him to move his things to the bomb shelter, but The Ruler doesn't thinks Commando Cody will bomb the planet. He then tells Planet M-27 Guard Leader to have one of The Ruler's Robots go to the location where Commando Cody is likely to land. Joan Gilbert uses the Robot to attack the guards and break into The Ruler's lab. Commando Cody follows behind and a fight breaks out. The Ruler disables the Robot and then escapes.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 8 The Hydrogen Hurricane played by Gregory Gaye

Saric calls The Ruler and Venusian Girl tells him to pass along his message. Saric tells The Ruler that Commando Cody is heading towards the Moon. The Ruler tells him to intercept Commando Cody's rocket. The Ruler then calls the Moon Base and asks Krug if the underground ocean of liquid hydrogen was disturbed by the first blast. Krug tells him that they are preparing to blast the Moon further towards Earth. The Ruler estimates that the Earth will be destroyed if the Moon comes closer. Later, Krug contacts the The Ruler who tells Commando Cody that he plans on destroying the Earth.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 9 Solar Sky Raiders played by Gregory Gaye

The Ruler comes on the radio, but it turns out to be just a recording of him. The recording says that Commando Cody will receive seven messages and after each message the people of Earth will learn of a multiple way that Earth will be destroyed. The Ruler sends another recording and tells Commando Cody to look up in the sky, which now appears to have three suns. At The Ruler's lab, the radio comes on and Venusian Girl holds the microphone up to The Ruler. Baylor tells The Ruler that there are now four suns in the sky and people are rioting. The Ruler tells Baylor that even more suns will appear in the sky. Kirk plays another recorded message from The Ruler which adds an additional sun.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 10 S.O.S. Ice Age played by Gregory Gaye

The Ruler calls Rocket R-13 and tells Ingor to read his coordinates and to proceed with phase two of Operation Ice Age. He tells Tantor a certain location to jump from the rocket. Baylor contacts The Ruler and tells him that Tantor is ready to receive the synchronous interlock signal. The Ruler takes the microphone from Venusian Girl and calls Station X-7 and tells Captain Turon on Saturn to standby for his synchronous interlock signal. Tantor and Turon use their machines to make Earth and Saturn interlocked causing Earth to tilt on its axis.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 11 Lost in Outer Space played by Gregory Gaye

Narkos calls The Ruler and tells him they have accomplished their mission. The Ruler then tells Narkos to heads towards Mercury to lay a trap for Commando Cody.

During the events of Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe, Season 1 Episode 12 Captives of the Zero Hour played by Gregory Gaye

Venusian Girl walks to The Ruler and he tells her that he wants to send a message to all the main arsenals and rocket assembly plants and that he plans on making a surprise attack on Earth to take out its defenses in one blow. He tells her that his agents on Mercury have set a trap for Commando Cody so that he can capture his rocket. Narkos calls The Ruler and tells him that he has captured Commando Cody and his rocket. The Ruler tells him that he will go to Mercury to fly Commando Cody's rocket himself. The Ruler lands in his rocket and he tells his men that he will contact them when he has Commando Cody's rocket. The Ruler walks to Commando Cody's rocket and finds Narkos, Baylen and R-7 Crew Member handcuffed. The Ruler asks Narkos what happened and Narkos lies and tells him that Commando Cody tricked him. The Ruler has Zerak release them and then tells Baylen that they will all be disciplined. The Ruler tries to fly the rocket, but it doesn't work and Narkos finds out about the missing needle valve. The Ruler tells Zerak to get a spare one from his rocket and orders Narkos and R-7 Crew Member to stand guard outside. Zerak returns with the needle valve and The Ruler has Baylen put it in Commando Cody's rocket. Narkos sees Commando Cody and starts shooting at him and Commando Cody fires back and kills Zerak. Narkos and R-7 Crew Member run back into the rocket and tell The Ruler. The Ruler calls R-1 Captain and tells him to shoot Commando Cody with his rocket ray gun and then land next to Commando Cody's rocket. A fight breaks out and Baylen is shot dead. The Ruler accidentally shoots R-7 Crew Member dead and Commando Cody shoots Narkos dead. The Ruler is handcuffed and Commando Cody, Dick and Joan fly away in their rocket. Henderson contacts Commando Cody and Commando Cody tells him that they captured The Ruler. Henderson tells him they just received a message that emissaries want to negotiate a universe of peace.
