During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 1 The Stolen Eagle played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus arrives at Caesar's camp and they discuss recent events and Brutus' mother Servilia, who is upset Caesar hasn't written to her lately. Mark Antony interrupts them and asks for gold to reclaim the eagle standard. Caesar orders Strabo to give Antony the gold he needs. Brutus asks about the eagle and Caesar tells him about its theft and the discontent amongst the legion it has caused. Brutus returns home and gives his mother letters from Caesar. At Servilia's dinner party Brutus gets drunk and tells the crowd of Pompey Magnus, Octavia of the Julii and Glabius of his time in Gaul. Pompey calls Brutus aside and Brutus tells him of the loss of the standard and the lack of support from his army.

Brutus goes to a party put on by Atia of the Julii who blames Caesar for her troubles, to the crowd of Gaius Octavian, Octavia, and Servilia. She tells them if Caesar was there she would stab him herself. Later, Brutus tells Servilia Pompey has left Rome and they must decide who they will side with. Servilia tells Brutus it is up to him and he decides to side with Pompey. Servilia then tells him she will not leave Rome and will stay so she can be with Caesar and Brutus prepares to leave Rome.

Cicero tells Brutus he is thinking of deserting Pompey and he invites Brutus to join him, but Brutus refuses.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 7 Pharsalus played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus is in Pompey and the senator's dinner tent when he tells the others that he doesn't enjoy the fate that Caesar is about to endure. After Pompey's army is defeated at the battle of Pharsalus, Brutus and Cicero tell Cato and Scipio that they intend to surrender to Caesar. Brutus and Cicero ride to Caesar's camp and tell a Legionary that they are there to surrender. Caesar welcomes them warmly and brings them into his dinner tent where Brutus and Caesar break bread.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 8 Caesarion played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus returns home to Rome and is very briefly hugged and greeted by Servilia, who quickly walks away from him. Later in the senate grounds, after Caesar has been away in Egypt for almost a year, Brutus and Cicero are talking when Cicero talks of betraying Caesar and Mark Antony and rejoining sides with Cato and Scipio. Mark Antony walks in and threatens Cicero about betraying him or Cesar again and then tells them that Caesar has won in Egypt and now controls the country.

During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 10 Triumph played by Tobias Menzies
Within the Senate, Cicero nominates Caesar as Emperor of Rome for ten years and Brutus seconds the motion. Servilia continues to make remarks at Brutus' expense concerning his surrender to Caesar. He comes home to find Quintus Pompey with Servilia and when he asks when Quintus is going to leave, Servilia tells him Quintus will leave when she wishes it. Brutus returns to the Senate and finds an excited Cicero who wonders why Brutus didn't involve him in his anti-Caesar propaganda and Brutus is horrified to learn that someone has written the propaganda and signed it with his name. He storms home and Servilia tells him she wrote it with the help of Cassius. Brutus tells Servilia that she may have just killed him and she tells him that as the descendant of the founders of Rome he should chase Caesar out, but Brutus refuses to join Servilia and her group. He returns once more to the Senate where he tells Caesar that he didn't write the propaganda and Caesar reassures him that he trusts him.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 11 The Spoils played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus is walking with his entourage when they come across graffiti depicting him assassinating Caesar. He orders one of his members to erase it and Cassius walks up and tells him there are many more spread across Rome. They walk into the Senate grounds and Cassius shows Brutus Caesar's new chair, which Cassius refers to as a throne. They argue when Cassius says that the future of the Republic is up to Brutus and he tells him that the citizens will only accept the death of Caesar if it is Brutus who kills him and Brutus storms out of the Senate angrily. Caesar and Brutus are playing a chess or checkers like game when Caesar tells Brutus he would like him to take over the province of Macedonia which Brutus does not wish to do. Caesar admits that he wants Brutus to leave due to the rumors that Brutus will assassinate him and Brutus storms off. Brutus tells Servilia that he will join her and her anti-Caesar group
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 12 Kalends of February played by Tobias Menzies
Servilia asks the spirits of her ancestors to give strength to Brutus as he assassinates Caesar as he stands nearby. In the Senate, Brutus, Cimber, Casca, Cassius, and Cicero are critically pointing out the new Senators created by Caesar. Cassius points out how Caesar treats Lucius like a son on purpose to rouse Brutus. Servilia and her anti-Caesar conspirators hold a meeting where they discuss how to kill Caesar. Casca is weary of attacking Caesar with Lucius around, who Quintus Pompey calls a son of a whore and Brutus describes Lucius to Servilia. Brutus demands that Caesar's murder be committed on Senate grounds and the others agree. Servilia gets up and asks Brutus to tell him more about Lucius and she remembers what Octavia told her. As Caesar enters the Senate grounds he is attacked by a group of Senators. Cassius grabs a knife and puts it in Brutus' hand and tells him to stab Caesar. As Brutus goes up to Caesar they stare into each others eyes and Brutus stabs Caesar dead.
During the events of Rome: Season 2 Episode 1 Passover played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus returns home and Servilia tells him she is proud of what he has done. Marcus Tullius Cicero goes to Servilia's home and congratulates Brutus, Cassius and the other assassins. When Cicero hears that Mark Antony is still alive he attempts to leave, but almost runs into Mark Antony as he enters Servilia's home. Mark Antony offers a truce, but before negotiations can commence, Mark Antony sees Quintus Pompey in the room and demands he leave due to Quintus' attempt that morning to murder him. Brutus insists that no order was made to kill Mark Antony, and Quintus is told to leave by Cassius. Mark Antony offers to Brutus and the other senators a compromise in which they are given amnesty in exchange for Caesar's will and acts to be upheld and a public funeral. Mark Antony waits outside while the conspirators discuss his offer, and while Cassius, Cicero and Servilia want to murder Mark Antony now, Brutus refuses. Brutus walks outside and tells Mark Antony his offer will be accepted. After his successful eulogy, Mark Antony offers to make Brutus a grain monitor so he can leave the city with dignity and protection against the mob. Brutus and the other conspirators agree to leave the city while Servilia is forced to stay.

In the Province of Bithynia in Eastern Turkey, Cassius and Brutus are trying to get money from a Bithynian Vizier. Brutus is telling the story of how he stabbed Caesar when a Pontic Dignitary tells him he thinks it was cowardly to stab a dying Caesar. A drunken Brutus demands the Pontic Dignitary stand up and fight him and Cassius drags Brutus away. Later, Brutus has an epiphany and cleanses himself in a river

Cassius tells Brutus the news of those that have sent money or troops.
During the events of Rome: Season 2 Episode 5 Heroes of the Republic played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus receives a letter from Cicero telling him that he and Cassius have been declared enemies of Rome by Octavian and he happily tells Cassius that the senate is begging for them to come back and save the Republic. They then march their armies towards Rome.
During the events of Rome: Season 2 Episode 6 Philippi played by Tobias Menzies
Brutus and Cassius continue with their army towards Rome. Cassius sees Brutus admiring his father's ring. Aide de Camp enters their tent and tells them that Octavian and Mark Antony's armies are nearby. Cassius tells Aide de Camp to tell the army to break camp, but Brutus decides they will go to battle. The next day at the Battle of Philippi, Brutus remembers that it is Cassius' birthday. The battle begins and Octavian and Mark Antony's army overwhelms the army of Brutus and Cassius. Cassius is brought dying to Brutus and Brutus orders Aide de Camp to leave and give his best to Servilia while he stays to fight. After stripping off his armor, Brutus is killed by a group of soldiers and his father's ring is stolen.
