Background
The Cowardly Lion lives in OZ.
During the events of Return to OZ (1985)
When the Nome King invades the Emerald City, the Cowardly Lion tries to defend it but is turned to stone. He is returned to normal when Dorothy wishes it through the use of the Ruby Slippers. He then joins the celebration as Dorothy returns to a rejuvenated OZ and Dorothy frees Ozma. He says bye to Dorothy before she returns to Kansas.
