Background
Mrs. Ruby Deagle owns Deagle Real Estate in Kingston Falls. Her husband was convicted stock swindler Donald Deagle. She closed down the town's noodle factory putting a lot of people out of work.
During the events of Gremlins (1984) played by Polly Holliday
As Mrs. Deagle is walking to Union Savings and Trust she is told good morning by Man on Street but asks him what is good about it. Mrs. Harris stops and asks her if she can get the bank to delay foreclosing on their house as neither her or her husband will be paid for two weeks, but Mrs. Deagle declines and tells Mrs. Harris to ask Santa for money. She cuts in front of Mr. Anderson and slams the head of her porcelain snowman in front of Billy and accuses his dog Barney of breaking her snowman. She threatens Barney and Barney lunges at her. Mrs. Deagle dramatically complains of her weak heart to Mr. Corben and Gerald and then leaves the bank. She later comes back and after cutting in front of Dorry, she again threatens Barney to Billy. Later, Mrs. Deagle is about to feed her cats when she hears Christmas Carolers outside her house. She grabs a pitcher of water to throw at them, but when she opens the door they turn out to be Gremlins and she screams and closes the door. She sits on her electric stair chair and turns it on to get to her second floor when the chair malfunctions and Mrs. Deagle flies out of her second story window dead onto the ground.
