Mogwai
Background
Mogwai are magical, small furry humanoids from Asia. Once they eat after midnight they change into Gremlins.
During the events of Gremlins (1984)
Five new Mogwai are born from Gizmo when Pete accidentally spills water on Gizmo. Billy brings one of them to local science teacher Roy Hanson, and after Billy makes another one, Roy keeps one. Both Roy's and Billy's Mogwai change into Gremlins when they eat after midnight. The one with Roy kills him and sticks a needle in his butt in revenge for Roy using a needle to get a blood sample from the Mogwai. Billy's Gremlins attack Lynn Peltzer who manages to kill them except for Stripe their leader. Stripe produces more Gremlins when he jumps into the pool of the local Y.M.C.A. The new Gremlins then destroy the town of Kingston Falls and kill numerous people including Mrs. Deagle and Mr. Corben. Billy, Kate and Gizmo track the Gremlins down at the local theater which is showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The Gremlins are then blown up when Billy releases gas into the theater and then starts a fire, causing the theater to blow up.
