After Stripe is born when [[Pete]] knocks a glass of water onto [[Gizmo]], Stripe quickly becomes the leader of the new Mogwai. He and the other Mogwai, except Gizmo, tie up [[Barney]] outside using Christmas lights. They also convince [[Billy Gremlins|Billy]] to feed them after midnight when they chew the clock cord, causing it to stop telling time. When the Mogwai turn into Gremlins, Stripe is the only survivor to escape the house after [[Lynn Peltzer]] and Billy kill the other Gremlins. Billy chases after him, but Stripe jumps into the local Y.M.C.A. pool and produces a large amount of Gremlins. He leads them in the destruction of Kingston Falls and to escape the coming daylight, into the local theater. Stripe avoids being blown up in the theater by going to get candy from a store in the mall right before Billy, [[Kate Gremlins|Kate]] and Gizmo blow up the theater. He is chased by Billy, but continues to attack and torment Billy using saw blades, a crossbow and a chainsaw. Stripe goes to the garden area and waits for Billy to find him before sticking his hand in a fountain full of water. As Stripe's back starts to bubble, Gizmo manages to pull a chain and sunlight pours into the garden area and Stripe melts into a puddle of goo. | |||

Background
Stripe is a Mogwai.
During the events of Gremlins (1984)
