Furiosa
Background
Furiosa is a Vuvalini of the Many Mothers living in the Green Place. Her mother is Mary Jabassa. Furiosa's initiate mother was K.T. Concannon and her clan is Swaddle Dog.

Chapter 1 The Pole of Inaccessibility
Furiosa and Valkyrie are picking peaches at the edge of the Green Place when they hear people talking. They see Toe Jam, Vulture, Cannibal, Savage, and Hacker slaughtering a horse. Furiosa tells Valkyrie to stay still until she comes back. Furiosa sneaks to the motorcycles belonging to Toe Jam and the others and starts cutting their fuel lines as Toe Jam directs the other members of his group on how to butcher the horse. Furiosa is caught by Vulture but stabs him in the leg and runs away. She pulls out a whistle and starts blowing it. Toe Jam uses a whip to catch Furiosa before she can get away. He then puts Furiosa on his motorcycle and then he and the others ride away. Little by little Toe Jam's group is killed by an unknown assailant.
Furiosa manages to chew threw the fuel line in Toe Jam's motorcycle and Toe Jam runs out of fuel and Furiosa steals his knife and while Toe Jam and Vulture are arguing, uses it to cut the ropes holding her and tries to run away, but is caught by Toe Jam. As they get close to Dementus' camp, Toe Jam and Vulture start celebrating. Someone shoots Toe Jam's tire and then shoots Vulture dead. Toe Jam makes it to camp and tells Rizzdale Pell that he has news for Dementus. Rizzdale starts to untie Furiosa, but Toe Jam tells him hands off. Rizzdale then tells Snapper and Hungry Eyes to untie Furiosa. Rizzdale asks where Toe Jam found her and Toe Jam starts yelling to Dementus' Horde that Furiosa came from a place of abundance. Rizzdale asks Furiosa where she came from, but she refuses to answer. He then asks Toe Jam where Furiosa came from, but Toe Jam tells him he will only tell Dementus himself. As Toe Jam is riding towards Dementus' tent, Furiosa jumps off his motorcycle and sticks his whip in the wheels, causing the whip to strangle and drag Toe Jam. As The History Man is telling Dementus the history of the JRl Cycles Lucky 7, Furiosa is brought into Dementus' tent by Rizzdale. Dementus asks Furiosa what her name is and the Organic Mechanic inspects Furiosa's teeth and hands. He tells Dementus that Furiosa is a healthy, flawless, full blood. Dementus asks Rizzdale how he knows Furiosa is from a land of abundance and Rizzdale tells him that a Roobillie told him. Rizzdale has Snapper and Hungry Eyes bring the dying Toe Jam into Dementus' tent and Rizzdale tells Toe Jam to draw a map or arrow in the sand. Furiosa charges at Toe Jam and starts kicking him and Toe Jam dies.
Dementus whistles and then tells Furiosa he will take her home tomorrow and has Sad Eyes feed Furiosa while Snapper and Hungry Eyes watch over her. As Sad Eyes is dressing Furiosa, she finds the peach Furiosa had picked. The tent flap opens, and Snapper goes to close it and is killed by Mary. Hungry Eyes tastes the peach but is then killed by Mary. Sad Eyes begs for her life and Mary lets her live and then leaves with Furiosa. After Mary and Furiosa leave the tent, Fang shoots at Mary, hitting the extra fuel tank on the back of the motorcycle. Dementus uses Dementus' Dogs to track Mary and Furiosa and after passing through a cliff opening, Mary tells Furiosa to hide herself and if she doesn't return to go back to the Green Place, however long it takes. She gives her the peach pit and tells her to protect the Green Place and plant the pit. Furiosa rides away but stops a short distance up a hill and watches as Mary ambushes and kills several of Dementus' men. Eventually Mary is surrounded and overwhelmed by Dementus' Horde and is taken away. Furiosa runs to where Mary is being crucified on a tree and being tortured by The Octoboss. Furiosa runs towards Mary but is grabbed by Dementus and forced to watch as Mary is tortured.
Chapter 2 Lessons from the Wasteland
Dementus and his Horde are chasing another group who end up cornered at a cliff. Their leader is chained up to five motorcycles and Dementus tells the rival groups surviving members that there are twenty of them, but only five motorcycles and they must fight to see who shall join his Horde. Dementus throws a bunch of weapons on the ground and the survivors are forced to fight to make it onto one of the five motorcycles. Mr Norton goes for a weapon but is kicked in the face and then hit in the face with a hammer. She gets back up and takes Mr Davidson's gun and shoots the member of the group that had attacked her and sits on the motorcycle he had claimed. Dementus tells Furiosa she doesn't have to watch and then gives her the teddy bear that belonged to his children. Dementus then has the five survivors quarter their former leader and Furiosa drops the teddy bear. During the evening, Organic Mechanic serves Dementus lizard mince and human blood sausage. The History Man asks Furiosa if she can write and tells her that he can teach her and that someday she may become a history man. He suggests that she make herself invaluable and Dementus will look after her. During the night, Furiosa steals The History Man's tattooing kit and tattoos a star map on her left arm.
As Dementus' Horde is moving, Smeg points out to Dementus red smoke in the sky. Big Jilly asks Dementus if they are curious and Dementus has his Horde head towards the smoke. They come across Lone War Boy with a dart stuck in his forehead who asks them if he is in Halvalla and then correctly calls it Valhalla. The History Man explains to Dementus what Valhalla is and Dementus tells Lone War Boy that they are looking for a place of abundance which Lone War Boy assumes him to mean the Citadel. As Dementus is talking with the Lone War Boy, the Organic Mechanic assesses the Lone War Boy, while Big Jilly takes the Lone War Boy's flare gun. Big Jilly then fires a red smoke grenade into the ground, covering everything nearby in red paint. The Horde travels to the Citadel causing The Wretched to run for cover in their underground warrens. Dementus and his Horde arrive in the center of the Citadel and loudly rev their engines. The History Man introduces Dementus, who now calls himself The Red Dementus. Dementus tells the inhabitants of the Citadel to throw down their leaders and they will rule together in the splendor of a new wasteland. Immortan Joe walks out from an opening of a cliff along with The People Eater, Rictus Erectus, Scrotus, The Prime Imperator, and Shotgun Praetorian.
Dementus introduces members of his Horde and afterwards The People Eater picks up a microphone and tells Dementus to choose one warrior from his Horde. He then tells Dementus to choose a War Boy. Dementus has Smeg choose a War Boy and Smeg points to a group of War Boys. At first First Pick War Boy steps forward, but Smeg says he chose Chosen War Boy. Chosen War Boy sprays himself in the mouth with silver spray paint and Immortan Joe tells him he is awaited. Chosen War Boy then takes two explosive spears and leaps to his death, causing a large explosion when he lands. The People Eater then says that anyone of Immortan's Joe's War Boys will do the same and calls Dementus and his Horde fools. Scrotus and Rictus then take the microphone, introduce themselves and tell the Horde they are going to kill them. The War Boys then start attacking the Horde who start to ride away. A Wretched grabs Furiosa and tries to drag her to Corpse Minder, but Dementus manages to pull her away and they escape.
After Dementus takes over Gastown, Immortan Joe agrees to a meeting and during the meeting is guarded by Watch Tower Praetorian Guards while Praetorian Pup hands out food. Rizzdale walks in first and tells Immortan Joe that if they are not back to Gastown by sunset then Gastown will be blown up. Dementus follows behind carrying a contraption with a harpoon pointed to the back of Guardian of Gastown's head. Dementus lists his demands and releases the device when Rictus grabs for the bomb code input device and Guardian of Gastown is killed. Immortan Joe notices Furiosa, who is standing in the back and Dementus says Furiosa is his daughter, Little D. Immortan Joe calls Furiosa pale and the Organic Mechanic tells him that she is pale, because the Organic Mechanic takes her blood to make blood sausage for Dementus. Immortan Joe asks Furiosa if she wants to stay with him and eventually become one of his wives. The History Man tells Dementus that they will be bonded by blood. Immortan agrees to make a deal in exchange for Furiosa and the Organic Mechanic. Before leaving the meeting Dementus takes back the teddy bear from Furiosa and declares that he shall now be known as The Great Dementus.
Furiosa is brought to the chamber of Immortan's Harem. While Furiosa is standing with the rest of Immortan's Harem as Pregnant Wife gives birth, Rictus starts playing with Furiosa's hair. Pregnant Wife gives birth to a deformed baby and is then removed from Immortan's Harem. That night, Furiosa shaves off her hair and makes a wig from her hair. One night Rictus grabs Furiosa and brings her into his room. He removes her chastity belt and then as Rictus is playing with her hair, Furiosa escapes. Sometime later, during a storm, while Scrotus is trying to secure a vehicle, he tells The Dogman to secure the loose cable to the vehicle. The Dogman slips and falls but manages to hang on to the excavator bucket on the back of the vehicle. Scrotus tells Brake Man to secure the vehicle, but Brake Man suggests someone small go. Scrotus tells Chumbucket to go but then tells Furiosa to go instead. The vehicle slips a little and The Dogman falls to his death. Furiosa manages to get the chain wrapped around the vehicle and Scrotus commends her and makes her the new dogman.
Chapter 3 The Stowaway
After giving respects to The House of Holy Motors, Furiosa, Brake Man, Winchman, Pissboy, Wretched Man Recruit, Welder Recruit, Rakka The Brakkishand others walk to a meeting being held by Black Thumb with Rictus, High Master Black Thumb and Scrotus. Scrotus and Black Thumb say that they are going to make a war rig out of all the spare parts available. Rictus asks Wretched Man Recruit who they are doing it for, and Wretched Man Recruit says Immortan Joe. He next asks Pissboy if he is ready to become a blackfinger, followed by Brake Man and finally Furiosa. When Furiosa doesn't speak, Rictus looks closer at Furiosa and remembers her from somewhere. Brake Man tells Rictus that Furiosa doesn't speak but is a useful dogman. As Black Thumb is explaining how the Bommyknocker works, Welder Recruit sees Praetorian Jack walk into the area. Pissboy says that Jack has done the most runs on Fury Road and never failed his deliveries. As the War Rig is being built, Brake Man carries along War Pup who also helps out. One night, as Furiosa is hiding potatoes under the War Rig, Black Thumb catches her and Furiosa shows him a piss bottle to act like she was just trying to pee in private.
On Fury Road, a group of Mortiflyers use their motorcycles to create a large dust cloud. Lookout Warboy uses a spyglass and tells Ace Warboy that he's spotted Mortifiers. Ace Warboy tells Jack who says that the Mortifiers have gone rogue. Ace Warboy tells Lookout Warboy contact front and Lookout Warboy spreads the message along the ranks. The War Rig is almost immediately attacked from the rear and the War Rig is quickly surrounded. Two sets of Mortiflyers paraglide and kill or wound all the War Boys riding the tanker of the War Rig. The War Boys escorting the War Rig manage to eliminate one set of paragliding Mortiflyers while Witness Warboy and Lookout Warboy sacrifice themselves in order to eliminate the other set of paragliding Mortiflyers. The Mortiflyer motorcycle is pulled under the War Rig and gets caught where Furiosa is hiding. The line feeding one of the War Rig's engines gets cut and Black Thumb goes to repair it. The War Rig's ranks are replenished from a convoy vehicle and a new set of Mortiflyers start their attack this time using paramotors. The paramotor Mortiflyers start whittling down the War Boys and when a paramotor Mortiflyer throws a gas grenade at Ace Warboy, the explosion also injures Black Thumb, causing him to slide under the truck. He manages to hand Furiosa the repair hose with clamps before the stuck Mortiflyer motorcycle and him get pulled away. Pissboy is covered in flames by a gas grenade and pours his piss bottle on himself to try and put out the flames. Mortiflyer Bomb Setter rides next to the War Rig and places dynamite on the bottom of the War Rig and then lights its fuse.
Furiosa detaches the dynamite and is spotted by the Mortiflyer Bomb Setter. As Mortiflyer Bomb Setter is trying to grab Furiosa, she kicks him away and Pissboy uses the crane claw to destroy the sidehack motorcycle the Mortiflyer Bomb Setter was riding in. War Pup asks Bommyknocker Warboy if he should turn on the Bommyknocker, but Bommyknocker Warboy tells him not yet. Furiosa repairs the hose, but a radiator cover is dislodged by the dead body of a Mortiflyer. Pissboy grabs the lit dynamite from Furiosa and sacrifices himself to kill a group of Mortiflyers. The Mortiflyers manage to kill all the remaining War Boys except War Pup. Furiosa manages to replace the radiator cover but also reveals herself to Jack. The War Rig is attacked by Mortiflyers using a hand glider rigged with a flame thrower, but Furiosa uses the crane claw to destroy it. The Octoboss using a paramotor attacks the War Rig, but Furiosa fires a harpoon which impales The Octoboss in the leg. Furiosa tells War Pup to turn on the Bommyknocker and The Octoboss shoots and kills War Pup, but is in turn shredded by the bommyknocker. Furiosa pulls a gun on Jack and orders him to pull over, but he manages to throw her out of the War Rig. He starts to drive away, but then stops. He makes an offer to Furiosa that if she joins his crew, he will train her in how to survive road warfare and if she survives, she can eventually go on her way.
Chapter 4 Homeward
Time passes and Furiosa joins Jack as his driver in the War Rig. They arrive at The Bullet Farm to the chants of Immortan Joe. As they drop off food and Mother's Milk to The Bullet Farm, they replenish their weapons in return. Bullet Farm Senior War Boy tells The Bullet Farmer that everything is accounted for, and The Bullet Farmer tells Jack that Dementus is running Gastown into the ground and he wants to have a meeting with Immortan Joe then hands Jack a shotgun and ammo. Jack hands Furiosa the shotgun and tells her that her time with him is done and it is time for her to go on her travels. The War Rig's next stop is to Gastown and a disheveled Mr Davidson leads them inside. As they enter, a riot breaks out and when they arrive the War Rig War Boys quickly start transferring the Mother's Milk. Dementus drives through the crowd and tells them that he is going to make everything right. He then demands a meeting of the warlords at high noon at the Citadel in three days. The riot starts to intensify and Dementus tells Jack he better leave. After Jack tells Dementus he is not leaving without his tanker full of gas, explosions break out and the crowd including Gastown Rioter start pushing their way towards the War Rig. Dementus tells Jack if they want to leave, they better follow him and as they are escaping a rioter jumps on the War Rig and stabs Furiosa in the shoulder.
When Jack and Furiosa return, Immortan Joe, Scrotus, The People Eater, The Bullet Farmer and Rictus hold a meeting. Scrotus wants to attack Dementus, but The People Eater is afraid Dementus will blow up Gastown. Immortan Joe tells The Prime Imperator to turn off all the generators and all vehicles, then tells Jack and Furiosa to leave for The Bullet Farm in the morning and to collect every round of ammunition they can carry in the War Rig. Jack stitches up Furiosa's wound and asks Furiosa where the map on her arm leads to. Furiosa pulls her arm away and Jack tells her about his parents and offers to help Furiosa find the Green Place. Furiosa shows him the peach pit she has been keeping all these years and asks him to join her. As they are driving the War Rig to The Bullet Farm, Furiosa pulls over and Jack tells the new Ace Warboy to put two motorcycles in the back of the pursuit vehicle and to load it with food and water. He then tells Valiant Lancer that he has been promoted to rear defense and Furiosa is to drive the pursuit vehicle. Hazz The Valiant is then made the new driver of the War Rig. They drive through the front gates of The Bullet Farm, but this time there is no one chanting Immortan Joe's name or even a crowd. Jack sees one of Dementus' Dogs carrying a human foot in its mouth and realizes it is a trap. Hazz The Valiant is almost immediately shot dead along with all of the other War Boys including the ones in the other pursuit vehicle, but Furiosa makes it out before the gate is closed. Jack starts making his way to the gate while killing members of Dementus' Horde, while Furiosa does the same. Jack reverses the War Rig into the gate, but it doesn't break. Furiosa runs to the pursuit vehicle and honks the horn for Jack to join her, but he fires a flare telling her to leave and drives towards the incoming vehicles coming their way. Furiosa starts to drive away but then reverses the vehicle and runs back inside The Bullet Farm. She starts to snipe Dementus' men, snapping them right in the medulla, and Dementus sacrifices two of his men to locate Furiosa, but manages to fire an RPG at her. Jack drives the War Rig into the structure Dementus is standing on, causing it to partially collapse. The War Rig is pulled into a pit, but Furiosa manages to save Jack, and they escape The Bullet Farm and drive away in the pursuit vehicle.
Furiosa and Jack hear Dementus' vehicle and see him pursuing them and Jack uses the rifle to shoot and kill Squint. Dementus catches up with Furiosa and Jack and Furiosa shoots Fang with her shotgun, but Jack is shot by Dementus who also crushes Furiosa's arm with the side of his vehicle. Dementus then rams their vehicle, causing it to crash. Mr Davidson and Mr Harley drag Furiosa and Jack out of the vehicle. Dementus starts wailing about how he could have ruled the wasteland if not for them and separates them when they try to comfort each other and tells them that they make him the Dark Dementus. Dementus has Furiosa strung up by her injured arm while Jack is pulled behind a motorcycle driven by Big Jilly. Mr Norton releases Dementus' Dogs who chase after Jack as he is dragged by the motorcycle. Dementus eventually gets bored and when he goes to where Furiosa was chained, she is gone, but her arm is still chained. Dementus starts to follow her, but his wheel comes off when the chain Furiosa attached to it, rips it off. Furiosa manages to escape but eventually collapses in the desert. Furiosa wakes up in the lair of the Corpse Minder who tells her to stay, and she will find peace. Furiosa crawls out of the warren and tells Brake Man who she is. Brake Man pulls her up and Winchman has the main platform brought up.
Immortan Joe, Scrotus, The People Eater, The Bullet Farmer and Rictus are holding another meeting when Rictus notices Gastown appears to be on fire. Immortan Joe thinks it is a trick and Furiosa arrives and tells them that Dementus has taken The Bullet Farm. Scrotus, The People Eater and The Bullet Farmer argue what to do next and Immortan Joe decides on the plan to make Dementus think they are going to Gastown. Smeg sees a cloud of smoke and tells Dementus that Immortan Joe and his army are heading to Gastown. Dementus and his Horde then head towards the Citadel. The People Eater sees Dementus heading towards the Citadel and two flairs are fired into the air. Furiosa goes to The House of Holy Motors and Brake Man lowers the wheelchair of the High Master Black Thumb. Furiosa takes one of the mechanical arms off the wheelchair and attaches it to her arm with the missing forearm. She then watches as the Forty-Day Wasteland War happens. She shaves her head and tells Brake Man, Winchman and Wretched Man Recruit she needs a vehicle. Brake Man tells her that there are no vehicles left, but Chumbucket tells Furiosa, he has a vehicle and shows her a rusted vehicle with a missing wheel. Furiosa drives it to where Scrotus is at while War Boys and The Wretched pick through the remains of the war dead as The Doof Warrior rallies them on. When she parks, The History Man walks towards her as Mr Harley holds a dead Mr Davidson. Lone War Boy tells Scrotus that one of Furiosa's tires might fit Scrotus' vehicle and Scrotus orders Furiosa's tire, fuel and weapon to be put on and in his vehicle. As Scrotus is arguing with the Organic Mechanic about bringing food, which the Organic Mechanic made from one of Dementus' Dogs, Furiosa drives away in Scrotus' vehicle.
Chapter 5 Beyond Vengeance
Dementus is driving with the remainder of his Horde when two of them are picked off in short succession. Furiosa sees the group split into three directions and she decides to follow the group that includes Dementus' chariot. She rams into Big Jilly, killing him, and then rams into Mr Norton. Mr Norton manages to briefly hold on to Furiosa's vehicle before Mr Norton loses her grip and tumbles away. Smeg, who was disguised as Dementus, yells to Furiosa that he isn't Dementus and then is engulfed when he lands into quicksand. She returns to where the Horde split up and uses her rifle scope to watch as Rizzdale is caught and beaten to death by a group of Rock Riders and The Rock Rider Chief claims Rizzdale's human hair wig as a trophy.
Dementus rides into a dust storm and later wakes up under a makeshift shelter and when he goes to take a drink from his waterskin, he finds it empty with a knife slash through it. He gets out of his makeshift shelter and sees the front tire has been removed from his motorcycle. He turns around and sees Furiosa standing nearby and wearing his parachute cape and calls her a freak. He tries to shoot her, but all of his ammo is missing. Furiosa walks away and Dementus starts to run away. Furiosa follows him with her vehicle and Dementus eventually stops running and turns around and starts to walk towards Furiosa. As he does, Furiosa reverses and drives slowly in the opposite direction. Dementus surrenders and Furiosa gets out of her vehicle and walks to Dementus and asks him if he remembers her. Dementus recognizes her from when he captured her with Jack and tells her that hate not hope is the only thing that would keep her alive after her ordeal. He grabs for the knife on her ankle, but the blade is gone and Furiosa knocks him unconscious. Furiosa chains Dementus' arms and feet and then wakes him up by dripping water on his face. She asks him if he remembers Mary and then starts beating him when he replies flippantly. She tells him that she wants Mary and her childhood back and he tells her that he also wants his children back and tells Furiosa that she can never get back what she lost. Furiosa then repeatedly hits Dementus in the head with his gun while demanding Mary and Jack back. Dementus has a seizure from brain trauma and Furiosa removes the teddy bear from Dementus. Dementus recovers and finally recognizes Furiosa as the child he captured when he sees her holding the teddy bear. He tells her that she is like him, already dead from the inside. He says that they both need violence to feel something inside, but like a drug, the effects are lessoned each time.
The History Man narrates that Furiosa took away Dementus' voice and they spent the rest of the day in silence. He then lists possible outcomes of Dementus' fate. In one scenario, Furiosa places the teddy bear to the back of Dementus skull and shoots him. In another scenario Furiosa drags Dementus to his death or crucifies him. He then says that the truth according to Furiosa is that she turned him into The Echo Man and buried the peach pit inside of him, which then matured into a tree.
When the tree grows its first fruit, Furiosa takes it and divides it before giving it to Immortan Joe's Five Wives. Later, Furiosa hides The Five Wives inside the rebuilt War Rig.
During the events of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) played by Charlize Theron
Approximately nineteen years later, Furiosa now an Imperator, walks towards her War Rig as Chanting War Boy loudly chants a War Boy chant to the War Boys preparing the War Rig. The Ace tells the War Boys that they are heading to Gastown. The Wretched gather under Immortan Joe's cliff tower as the War Boys chant Immortan Joe's name. The Prime Imperator tells The Wretched to yell and make noise for Immortan Joe. Immortan Joe tells the crowd that once again they send out his War Rig to return with gasoline and bullets. He then salutes Furiosa and his War Boys. He calls himself their redeemer and then releases water from three large pipes which pours down towards The Wretched who gather to collect it. The War Rig and convoy drive away and The Breakman raises the main platform while The Winchman knocks members of The Wretched who try to climb onto the platform. As Furiosa is driving towards Gastown, she suddenly changes course.
The Ace asks Furiosa where they are heading to, and she tells him that they are heading east. Morsov asks The Ace what is going on and The Ace tells him they are heading east, but he doesn't know why.
The War Rig War Boys notice flares being fired behind them asking for reinforcements from Gastown and The Bullet Farm and The Ace asks Furiosa again what the mission is, and she tells him that it is a detour. Furiosa's convoy is spotted by Buzzards. Furiosa seess the Buzzards driving towards her and warns The Ace, who warns the other War Boys. The first vehicle in the convoy falls into a trap and crashes. The Buzzards start attacking the convoy and a Buzzard rig with an excavator bucket starts to chase Furiosa and the convoy. Nux catches up with Furiosa and Slit and Morsov help attack a Buzzard vehicle. The rider of the Buzzard vehicle shoots bolts into Morsov who then sprays himself with chrome spray paint, is witnessed by The Ace, War Rig War Boy and the other War Boys and leaps towards the Buzzard vehicle with two explosive lances causing the vehicle to explode. During the battle The Splendid Angharad tells Furiosa that they can't breathe in their hiding place and Furiosa tells her to get back to the hiding place. War Rig War Boy jumps onto the boom of the Buzzard vehicle with the excavator bucket and he and Slit help destroy the vehicle, but War Rig War Boy is in turn killed when the machine crashes.
Furiosa drives towards a large sandstorm as The Ace and the surviving War Boys including Chanting War Boy look at the incoming storm. The Ace figures out that Furiosa has done something to betray Immortan Joe and attacks her. Furiosa knocks The Ace away from her and then rams Nux's vehicle causing one of its tires to blow. Furiosa drives into the sandstorm and her convoy follows her, causing them all to die. Nux follows Furiosa into the sandstorm, but his vehicle is rammed by Furiosa and Nux's vehicle crashes. Max Rockatansky carries Nux to where Furiosa is cleaning the sand from the War Rig and sees Angharad, Toast the Knowing, Capable, The Dag, and Cheedo The Fragile washing themselves. He tells Angharad to bring him the water hose which he then drinks from and tells The Dag to bring him the bolt cutters. The Dag walks over to Max carrying the bolt cutters and sees Immortan Joe’s forces driving towards them. She struggles to cut the chain and while Max is distracted, Furiosa charges at him and they begin to fight. While they are fighting the wives help Furiosa while Nux helps Max. In the end, Max manages to get a hold of a pistol Furiosa had hidden on the War Rig and threatens Furiosa with it. Nux tells Max that Immortan Joe is going to be grateful to him for bringing back his wives and Max tells him to cut the chains chaining them together. Nux says that he is going to ask Immortan Joe to drive the War Rig and Max takes his jacket back from Nux. Angharad says that they are going to the Green Place and starts walking towards the War Rig and Max punches Nux in the gut and then shoots towards Angharad and nicks her leg with a round. He gets into the War Rig and starts to drive off.
Furiosa tells the wives to pick up anything they can and follow her as they run after the War Rig. As Max is driving the War Rig it starts to stall. Furiosa runs up to Max and tells him that she installed kill switches inside the War Rig. He tells her that she can come, but only her and when Furiosa says that her and the wives go together, he threatens to wait for Immortan Joe. She tries to reason with Max and manages to convince him when she offers to help him remove the metal muzzle from his face. Max collects the rest of the weapons Furiosa had hidden and as Furiosa starts to drive towards a cliff opening, Max tells her to drive around, but Furiosa points out that The People Eater and his Gas Town War Boys are heading their way from another direction. Angharad and Capable use binoculars and a spyglass and see that The People Eater’s forces consist of big rigs, polecats and flamers. The vehicle starts to stutter and Furiosa says the fuel pod may be causing it to drag and Max goes to investigate. Nux, who managed to sneak back onto the War Rig, uses the secret compartment to climb into the semi and starts to choke Furiosa with a chain, but the wives help Furiosa and Furiosa pulls out a stick shift knob dagger and puts it to Nux’s throat. Furiosa is about to kill Nux, but Angharad stops her. Max gets back to the cab and tells Furiosa that another group is following them and Furiosa says it is The Bullet Farmer and the Bullet Boys. The wives throw Nux out of the vehicle after telling him that he has been fooled by Immortan Joe.
Furiosa drives into a series of canyons and Furiosa tells Max and the wives that she made a deal for safe passage. She tells the wives to get back into the hold of the trailer and tells Max when she yells, then he is to drive the War Rig away and shows him how to disengage the kill switch. The War Rig comes to a stop and Furiosa gets out and yells out that she has the three thousand gallons of gasoline as promised. A group of Rock Riders and The Rock Rider Chief appear on a cliff and The Rock Rider Chief yells at Furiosa about the large war parties chasing after her. Immortan Joe and his war party start to enter the canyons and Furiosa yells out for Max to start driving. The Rock Riders start attacking the War Rig and detonate bombs that cause a large rockslide blocking Immortan Joe's war party. Furiosa climbs back into the War Rig and the Rock Riders continue to attack the War Rig and use the landscape to their advantage. Furiosa hands a rifle to Angharad and tells her to reload it, but Angharad doesn't know how to, and Toast takes the rifle and reloads it. The Rock Rider Chief lands on the War Rig on his dirt bike and yells at Furiosa that they had a deal and starts to shoot at Furiosa, but Max shoots him dead. A Rock Rider with a large bundle of dynamite is shot and the dynamite rolls under the War Rig and detonates, causing the fuel pod to detach and explode and the remaining Rock Riders stop chasing the War Rig.
Immortan Joe catches up with the War Rig and Angharad opens the door and leans out of the War Rig and Furiosa shoots at Immortan Joe, but an Imperator leans in front of Immortan Joe and is shot in the back and falls off of Immortan Joe's vehicle. Rictus fires a harpoon at the War Rig which catches the steering wheel and pulls it away. Angharad uses bolt cutters to cut the chain attached to the harpoon but falls to the ground when she is trying to get back into the War Rig. Immortan Joe crashes his vehicle trying to avoid running Angharad over but fails. Capable yells at Max, who is remembering the death of Glory The Child, to turn around, but Max refuses. The War Rig breaks down and while Max and Furiosa are repairing it, Cheedo runs towards a pair of Immortan Joe's men on a motorcycle, but Furiosa shoots the two men dead. Max asks Furiosa where the Green Place is, and she tells him it is to the east. Toast counts the remaining ammo and tells Max the count.
The War Rig gets stuck in the salt marshes and Nux, who again snuck onto the War Rig, offers to help them and Max fires two of the remaining three bullets towards The Bullet Farmer but misses. Max lets Furiosa fire the last bullet, and she hits the spotlight on The Bullet Farmer's vehicle causing glass to fly into his eyes. Nux and Max tie the winch around a tree and The Bullet Farmer starts shooting directly at the War Rig as Nux manages to get the War Rig unstuck. Max tells Furiosa to keep moving and then heads to confront The Bullet Farmer. Furiosa and the others see a large explosion in the distance and Max returns with ammunition and a new steering wheel. They continue on and pass a group of Crow Fishers.
Furiosa tells Max about her past and being taken as a child from the Green Place and that she is looking for redemption. Toast notices a light in the distance and Furiosa looks through her binocular and sees something flashing in the distance. They drive to a rusty transmission line where a naked Valkyrie is calling for help. Max realizes it is a trap, but Furiosa gets out of the War Rig and yells out who her and her mother were. The Valkyrie calls out to others and a group of Vuvalini ride their motorcycles towards them including the Keeper of the Seeds. The Valkyrie hugs Furiosa and the Vuvalini greet her. They ask what happened to Mary and Furiosa tells them about Mary’s death. The wives get out of the War Rig and are greeted by the Vuvalini. Furiosa tells the Vuvalini that she is excited to see the Green Place and they tell her that the salt marsh area is what the Green Place became, and they are the last of the Many Mothers. Furiosa then walks away to cry in anguish. Furiosa tells Max of the plan to leave the War Rig, and ride motorcycles out through the desert and invites Max to join them, but he declines. The next day Max rides and then overtakes Furiosa and stops in front of her. He shows her a map he made of the area and tells her that they should head back towards The Citadel and take it from Immortan Joe.
Immortan Joe’s remaining war party get back into their vehicles and start chasing after the War Rig. Max’s stolen vehicle with Slit riding on the hood is the first to reach the War Rig and drops some spike strips. The Valkyrie shoots the driver of the Interceptor and then she and Maadi the Vuvalini the driver of the motorcycle fall back towards the back of the War Rig. The engines of the War Rig start to give out and Nux goes to try and repair them while Max and one of the Vuvalini try and decuple the trailer from the War Rig. The Valkyrie kills another driver, but Maadi is hit in the head and blinded and they crash their motorcycle. The Valkyrie and Maadi are then run over by The People Eater. A group of Bullet Boys fire harpoons that start to drag the War Rig and Max goes to the back of the War Rig with the bolt cutters while the Vuvalina stays behind to remove some bolts holding the trailer to the War Rig. A large War Boy truck drives next to the War Rig and fires a harpoon into the cab, and the Vuvalini removing the bolts shoots and kills the driver. She is then killed when part of the War Rig is pulled away when the War Boy truck crashes.
Max manages to cut all the harpoon chains, but the War Rig is then attacked by a group of polecats. A polecat drops a smoke grenade into the cab of the War Rig while another one attaches a snare pole around Furiosa's neck. The Keeper of the Seeds is attacked by Polecat Lookout and struck in the neck with his chainsaw. Furiosa then kills Polecat Lookout and then throws out the smoke grenade and removes the snare pole from her neck. Toast asks the Keeper of the Seeds if she is okay, and The Dag hands the Keeper of the Seeds her bag of seeds. Black Mask jumps onto the War Rig and attacks a Vuvalini. Black Mask then shoots a bolt at Max's forehead. A polecat grabs Toast and drops her into Immortan Joe's vehicle. Max manages to kill a few more polecats, but Furiosa is stabbed in the side by Black Mask. The Keeper of the seeds shoves a bullet through the eye of Black Mask and The Dag kicks Black Mask out of the cab. Nux repairs the engine and Slit who is driving Max's car tries to ram Max, who is hanging from the War Rig. Furiosa crushes Max's vehicle between the War Rig and The People Eater's vehicle and Max's vehicle explodes. Nux nudges Max onto The People Eater's vehicle and a Vuvalini shoots The People Eater's gunner in the head. Max removes The People Eater's driver and kicks The People Eater unconscious. Max drives The People Eater's vehicle across from Immortan Joe's and Immortan Joe fires at Max, hitting and killing The People Eater. Cheedo yells to Max that Furiosa is injured and Max jumps onto the War Rig as The People Eater's vehicle explodes.
A polecat grabs Max and pulls him away from the War Rig. Furiosa and Immortan Joe ram their vehicles into each other and Furiosa tells Nux to drive while she goes to attack Immortan Joe. Cheedo calls out to Rictus to bring her into Immortan Joe's vehicle and Rictus transfers her to the vehicle and then grabs The Dag. A Vuvalini attacks Rictus but he punches her. Another Vuvalini charges at Rictus, but he grabs her and throws her off the War Rig. Max attacks Rictus and Cheedo helps Furiosa climb onto Immortan Joe's vehicle. Furiosa and The Prime Imperator fight and Nux rams Immortan Joe's vehicle, causing The Prime Imperator to fall out of the vehicle and get pulled under its wheels. Another Vuvalini shoots Rictus' oxygen tanks and Max beats Rictus with a loose tank. Furiosa sticks a harpoon into Immortan Joe's mask and then drops the rope between the vehicle's tires, causing half of Immortan Joe's face to rip off. Toast takes control of the vehicle and Cheedo yells to the remaining wives and Vuvalini in the War Rig that Immortan Joe is dead.
The wives and Vuvalini start making their way onto Immortan Joe's vehicle and The Dag take the bag of seeds from the dead Keeper of the Seeds. Rictus regains consciousness and lunges towards Capable, but Nux steps on the brake. Rictus then rips out the engine and yells at Nux, Nux stares at Capable, Cheedo, and a Vuvalini and asks them to witness him and then crashes the War Rig. A large pile up ensues which blocks the exit out of the canyon. Furiosa's condition worsens, and she whispers to Max to get her home. She starts to lose consciousness, and Max gives her some of his blood and tells her his name. They arrive at The Citadel and War Pups start beating their drums. The Winchman has the main platform lowered some but then tells The Breakeman to brake. The Winchman orders Max to reveal himself and Max gets out of the vehicle and pulls back a sheet revealing the body of Immortan Joe. Max dumps the corpse from the vehicle and The Wretched runs towards the corpse and start stripping the body. Max helps Furiosa out of the vehicle and The Wretched start chanting to let Furiosa and the others up. A group of War Pups then start lowering the main platform and when it touches the ground, one of the two surviving Vuvalini drives the vehicle onto the main platform and The Breakman raises the platform. The Milking Mothers release some water to The Wretched and Furiosa looks on as Max blends into the crowd and walks away.
