Background

Rubio is a Gaulish slave owned by Lucius Vorenus. His mother died of dysentery during confinement.


During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 5 The Ram has Touched the Wall played by Alessio Di Cesare

Rubio is brought to Lucius' home where he is named by Vorena the Elder after her pigeon that died.

During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 6 Egeria played by Alessio Di Cesare

Rubio and Vorena the Younger play hide and seek.

During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 10 Triumph played by David Quinzi

He and Vorena the Younger watch in shock and are covered in blood when Titus Pullo kills Oedipus by slamming his head into a pillar.

A Flamen Priest leads a procession including Lucius, Niobe, Vorena the Elder, Vorena the Younger, Lucius the child, and Eirene to the family farm, where they make an offering for luck. Rubio cuts Titus free when he is tied to the bed in Lucius' home so Titus can heal his wounds.
