Young Treeman is a citizen of the moon Arboria.
During the events of Flash Gordon (1980) played by Peter Duncan
Young Treeman participates in the initiation trial to become a treeman. He sticks his hand in a log, but is stung by the Woodbeast and pleads for Prince Barin to kill him so that he doesn't have to go crazy from the poison and Barin stabs him to death with a sword.
