Background
The United States Police Force is tasked with ensuring no convicts leave the island prison of Manhattan. After an earthquake devastates the area around Los Angeles, the USPF are used to form a perimeter around the now island of L.A.
During the events of Escape from New York (1981)
Two convicts attempt to cross to the mainland from Manhattan. They are warned by a helicopter pilot from the USPF they have ten seconds to turn back. When they don't comply they are struck by a missile fired from the helicopter and killed. The USPF respond Air Force One crashes in Manhattan. They also help the President and Snake Plissken across the wall once they cross the 69th street bridge.
During the events of Escape from L.A. (1996)
A USPF officer infects Snake Plissken with the Plutoxin virus when he arrives at the L.A. deportation point.
