Scarlet is a Major in the American led NATO force stationed in London. She is the chief medical officer for District 1.

During the events of 28 Weeks Later (2007) played by Rose Byrne

While watching the new plane of arrivals fly into London, Scarlet is surprised to see two adolescents, Tammy and Andy. Scarlet does a quick medical check on Andy and notices that he has one green and one brown eye. Later at a meeting between her, Stone, Military Officer and Senior Medical Officer, Scarlet is upset that no one told her that kids would be brought into District 1 at this time. When Alice is found, Scarlet takes a blood sample and notices that Alice has a bite wound. She tells Stone that Alice is immune to the Rage Virus but she is a carrier and can pass the virus on to others. After the infected spread into District 1, she goes and collects Tammy and Andy, killing Medical Officer, who had become infected. While she is trying to convince Medical Centre Lobby Soldier to let her and the kids through, Andy is pulled away by a crowd of people. As the outbreak spreads, Scarlet and Tammy hide in a depot and eventually are found by Andy and Doyle who tells them Scarlet and the others that their best chance is to escape in the dark to try and avoid snipers. Scarlet and the others make their way to a park outside of London and she tells Doyle that either Tammy or Andy might be immune to the Rage Virus and it is important that they survive and make it to safety. They make it to a car and after Doyle is killed, Scarlet drives the kids to an underground train metro and Scarlet leads the kids in the dark. She is attacked by Don and killed when he takes away her rifle and slams her in the head with it repeatedly.
