Sam Jack Frost
Background
Sam Tiler is the sheriff for Snomonton County, Colorado. He is married to Anne Tiler and his son is Ryan Tiler. He captured the serial killer Jack Frost.

Sam arrives at the police station and is shown a piece of paper by Marla that says someone was murdered. He goes to Old Man Harper's house and is met by Deputy Foster and Deputy Pullman. Later, Doc Peters tells Sam that he believes Harper was killed by someone wearing a large glove or mitten. Sam calls the FBI and is told by Agent Manners that Jack Frost was killed in a car crash. Jack returns to his house when Billy Metzner is killed when a sled cuts his head off and Ryan is blamed. After returning to the police station from the murder scene of Jake Metzner and Sally Metzner, Sam finds Agent Manners and Stone at the police station. Sam enacts a 24 hour curfew in town and then returns to the police station. After hearing Deputy Pullman's car drive up, Sam along with Agent Manners, Stone and Marla are attacked by Jack Frost. They set a trap for Jack, but are frustrated when Jack reforms after being exploded. Sam and the others set another trap for Jack and use blow dryers to force him into a boiler. Jack escapes by becoming steam and attacks Sam and Ryan who jump into Sam's police vehicle. Sam wounds Jack by shoving a bag of oatmeal mixed with anti-freeze into Jack's mouth. Sam tells Paul Davrow to take his truck and fill the bed of it with anti-freeze. Sam is then chased by Jack Frost who eventually catches him and impales him with an icicle. Sam then shoves Jack Frost out a window into Paul's truck bed filled with anti-freeze and Jack dissolves. Sam then has the anti-freeze bottled up and buried.
