Nanny
Background
Nanny is a nanny for Beth. Her husband was serving in a war when he became sick and she sent her daughter to live with her parents while she took care of him. Her daughter then died from starvation after she was locked into her bedroom by bullies.

During the night as Amanda is writing a letter to her parents, she hears a noise and meets Nanny. Nanny holds out her hand to Amanda, but Beth opens her door and tells her if she touches Nanny's contaminated wrinkly old hand, she won't let her touch anything of hers again. Nanny then leaves. In the morning, as Amanda is walking down the stairs with Beth's clothes to wash, Nanny is walking up the stairs and trips and Nanny drops a locket. Amanda picks it up and hands it to her and Nanny takes Beth's laundry from Amanda and offers to clean it. Nanny and Amanda hear Beth and Aunt Dottie arguing about Nanny.
Later, Amanda runs to Aunt Dottie's house and catches Nanny right before she is about to leave. Amanda shows Nanny the locket a Ghost gave her and brings her to the neighbor house. They go into the bedroom and the Ghost, who is Nanny's dead daughter, walks to Nanny and invites her to join her in the afterlife. Nanny and the Ghost walk into the mirror.
