Background
Michael Waits is the husband of Diana Waits and the father of Holly and Joshua Waits. When Michael was younger there were times when he had to go hungry.
During the events of Troll 2 (1990) played by George Hardy
Michael takes his family to the town of Nilbog in a vacation home exchange program with the Presents family from Nilbog. He takes Joshua to his room when Joshua pees on the food left behind for them to eat. In the morning, he goes with Joshua into town when Diana notices there is no food in the pantry or fridge. In town Michael catches the townspeople trying to force Joshua to eat ice cream. When Michael is returning to the farm home the family is staying at he sees Holly arguing with her boyfriend Elliot and he tells Elliot either he needs to come with him and Holly or leave Holly alone. When Bells is set on fire, Michael puts him out and the family is shocked when he turns out to be a goblin. Michael and his family is surrounded by the townspeople of Nilbog and ordered to eat the food they are given. During a seance, Michael and his family are attacked by the Nilbog Goblins and Joshua disappears. They are saved when Creedence calls her goblins to help her and Michael and his family go the home of Creedence to help Joshua. Michael and the rest of the family make the goblins go away by putting their hands on the stones in Creedence's house. The family then returns home and Michael says he has to go and check on something at work.
