Janet Meade
Background
Janet Meade is a reporter with the international press. She lives in Las Palmas and is working on a story on the cocaine trade. Janet is in las palmas doing a story on the cocaine trade. She knows Cliff Adams from years ago in Caracas, Venezuela.

When Janet first sees Cliff after not seeing him for some time she asks him if he could get her an interview with his boss, Gonzalo Reyes. When Marcelo Villalba’s rally is shut down by the police, Janet saves Marcelo from being captured by the police. She then takes him to her apartment where she bandages his wounds. When Cliff arrives Janet introduces Cliff to Marcelo. Later Cliff meets with Janet and Marcelo where he promises Marcelo a list of all of Reyes’ drug partners in Miami. When Cliff refuses to provide Janet with the list, Janet steals one of the pages of information. As Cliff and Janet are riding in her car, Klausmann stops them by gunpoint in from of the Urubamba bar. Cliff is ordered out of the vehicle, but he manages to take Klausmann’s weapon away from him when Janet drives her car at Klausmann. Before Cliff can shoot Klausmann, Pugg walks out his bar with his own weapon and tells Cliff no fighting outside his bar. Janet and Cliff continue on their way, however Klausmann chases after them in his vehicle. Klausmann attempts to ram Janet’s vehicle off the road, but ultimately dies when his vehicle plunges off a cliff. Janet goes with Cliff to his meeting with Reyes but is denied an interview with Reyes. The information Janet steals leads to a drug bust in Miami before Cliff can set his plan fully into motion. Due to the news report, Janet is chased by Reyes’ men including Gomez and Oswaldo. Marcelo’s friend Hernando tries to help Janet, however she is eventually captured. Janet is saved by Cliff and she and Cliff fly away in his plane.
