Friend
Background
Friend is an Immortal from Vortex 4. He catalogs the artifacts from before the apocalypse. Friend is immortal and has psychic powers.
During the events of Zardoz (1974) played by John Alderton
When Zed is captured by May, he is tasked to help Friend with manual labor chores. Friend is initially rude to Zed and gives him backhanded compliments. He also aggressively asks him what happened to Arthur Frayn. Friend shows Zed the different groups of Vortex 4 including the Renegades and the Apathetics. When Friend is punished and transformed into a Renegade, he blames Zed, who then asks Friend what he wants. Friend sets Zed on the path of destroying Vortex 4 by introducing Zed to the Old Scientist who tells Zed about the Tabernacle. When the Executioners attack Vortex 4 after Zed removes the Immortals immortality, Friend is killed along with Arthur Frayn.
