Background
The Family Members are tertiary cases of the plague living in Los Angeles, California, whose leader is Matthias. Their goal is to cleanse the world of relics of the former civilization. They are sensitive to the light and exhibit homicidal tendencies.
During the events of The Omega Man (1971) played by DeVeren Bookwalter, John Dierkes, Monika Henreid, Linda Redfearn and Forrest Wood
The Family Members spend the nights taunting and attempting to kill Neville while also destroying relics of the past like books and paintings. They manage to capture him and put him on trial, but he escapes with the help of Lisa and Dutch. They return to his home and continue to taunt him. They manage to break inside of his home and capture him. They destroy the relics of the past he has collected, but he manages to escape. Matthias then manages to kill Neville.
