Background
The guards enforce the rules set forth by the Warden at the Estabelecimento Prisional Masculino.
During the events of Riki-Oh The Story of Ricky (1991)
The guards process Riki-Oh as he enters the prison. During the attacks on Omar and other prisoners they either look the other way or participate. During the riot the guards try to stop the prisoners, but eventually the prisoners are freed when Riki punches a hole through the prison walls.
