Dickie Moore works on the fishing trawler Golden Gate in Noyo, California.
During the events of Humanoids from the Deep (1980) played by Don Maxwell
Dickie, Hank Slattery, Jake Potter and Slattery's Crewman are walking to their boat when they see all the dock dogs dead except for Johnny Eagle's dog. At the 75th Annual Noyo Salmon Festival, Johnny carries in his dead dog and accuses Hank of killing it and Hank, Dickie, Jake and Hank's Crewman get in a fight with Johnny, Jim Hill and Tommy Hill. The next day, Hank tells Dickie, Jake and his crewman that they need to take care of Johnny one way or the other. At night, Dickie, Hank and Hank's Crewman take their boat to Johnny's house and then set it on fire with a Molotov Cocktail. During the Salmon carnival, a large amount of Humanoids attack the people at the pier. During the attack, Dickie saves a woman that was being attacked, by stabbing the Humanoid attacking her to death.
