Cremator
Background
The Cremator is living energy. It fell to Earth from space 300 years ago. The locals refer to it as the Dune Roller. It gathers its rock crystal pieces like children.
During the events of The Cremators (1973)
A meteor lands in a lake 300 years ago, and is seen by two things, a Native American and a hammerhead shark. The Cremator chases the Native American and then turns his body into ash. Phil sees a bright flash and gets out of his car and then he is attacked and killed by the Cremator while Millie runs away. George picks up a rock crystal as a striking tool and he is then chased and killed by the Cremator. Jeannie is out on her boat listening to a conversation between Mack and Dr. Ian Thorne when the Cremator suddenly appears. It chases her and she calls Ian for help. Ian asks her if she got rid of the rock crystal he gave to her and she tells him she gave it to Mack who then tells them he put it in a pail on the boat. Ian tells Jeannie to get rid of the rock crystal and she throws it away. Later, the Cremator appears out of the water while Dr. Willy Seppel is on it. Dr. Seppel shoots at it with a shotgun, but it kills him. Ian goes out with the few remaining rock crystals and looks for the Cremator. The Cremator appears and as it goes to collect the rock crystals, Ian causes explosives to go off, causing a large explosion and the Cremator disappears.
