Carl is married to Evelyn Nash.
During the events of It Waits (2005) played by Fred Henderson
While on a camping trip, Carl and Evelyn become lost when their raft flips over and they lose their compass and maps. Carl and Evelyn eventually cross paths with Danny St. Clair and Justin Rowley. Danny and Justin want to escort Carl and Evelyn to safety however Carl insists they go alone. Danny points Carl and Evelyn the way down the mountain. As they are hiking Carl goes ahead of Evelyn to make sure they are going in the right direction. When he hears Evelyn scream he runs towards her and is then killed by the Creature who rips open his chest.
