Arthur Frayn is an Immortal from Vortex 4 who has lived for 300 years. He is a magician and as Zardoz, a god to the Exterminators and Brutals. Arthur Frayn is immortal and has psychic powers. He has been breeding Exterminators to produce better genetic specimens and convinced them to turn Brutals into slaves to till the soil. Arthur visited Zed in the past and taught him how to read.
During the events of Zardoz (1974) played by Niall Buggy
Arthur is shot by Zed when Zed sneaks into Zardoz and then he floats away. After being reborn, Arthur becomes an adult again about the time that Zed figures out how to strip the Immortals of the immortality and destroy the protective wall around Vortex 4. Arthur is shot and killed by an Exterminator after he shows Friend one last magic trick.
