Detailed Synopsis

Carlos and Alvin wait in the shadows during the night as a small plane lands on a dirt airstrip. Suddenly the DEA come out and arrest the pilot and Carlos and Alvin are forced to run away. Stringfellow Hawke and Caitlin O'Shannessy are at Frank Ochoa's mechanic shop having the starter generator repaired on Airwolf. Dominic walks in and Hawke and Frank tell him it will take two days to have the generator repaired. Dominic, Hawke and Caitlin fly to an oilfield to meet Dominic's friend, Cecil Carnes Sr. At the oilfield, Cecil Carnes Jr. is boxing Moose while Noble Flowers, Second Worker and some of the other workers watch. Cecil wins and after the fight, he is congratulated by First Worker. When they land, Cecil runs over and hugs Dominic and then introduces him to Noble. He tells Dominic, Cecil Sr. is at home due to an injury and Noble lets Cecil Jr. leave early. Hawke asks what happened to Cecil Sr. and Cecil Jr. quickly answers it was due to a work accident. They land and Dominic and Cecil Sr. hug and Cecil Sr. asks Cecil Jr. what he is doing off the job early.

Things are awkward at dinner when Cecil Sr. and Jr. continue to not get along. Cecil Jr. offers to take Hawke and Caitlin into town and Cecil Sr. tells him not to go to the bar and to be home by midnight. Dominic gets upset with Cecil Sr. over the way he treats Cecil Jr. and Cecil Sr. tells him he and Cecil Jr. don't get along, because Cecil Jr. blames Cecil Sr. for his mother, Evelyn's death. Dominic recalls Cecil Sr. wrote letters to his wife all the time during the Korean War and Cecil Sr. blames Cecil Jr. for not pulling Evelyn out of the burning vehicle. During the night, Noble and Moose meet with Mule who gives them a sample of cocaine and says he will have the rest tomorrow night. Dominic is woken up by a noise and finds Cecil Sr. up and Cecil Sr. tells him Cecil Jr. was kicked out of college for selling drugs. Cecil Sr. then asks Dominic if he can take Cecil Jr. with him to California to set him straight. The Bartender walks by as Carlos and Alvin sit next to Cecil Jr. at the bar and Alvin tells him Noble told them Cecil Jr. would be willing to move cocaine for them. The next day, Dominic and Cecil Jr. fly in Dominic's helicopter and Dominic tells him what Cecil Sr. told him the night before. When Dominic drops Cecil Jr. off at the oilfield, Noble asks Dominic if he can fly some instruments and test samples to the shop. Noble tells Cecil Jr. about the cocaine and threatens Cecil Jr. if he doesn't do it he and Cecil Sr. will get hurt. While they are flying the package with drugs gets knocked down to Dominic's feet when a plane nearly hits them and the package eventually tears open. Dominic yells at Cecil Jr., but Cecil Jr. says he can't rat on anyone.

They land and Dominic tells Alvin he won't give the package until he sees some identification. When Alvin shows Dominic his driver's license, Dominic knocks him away and flies off. Alvin calls Noble and tells him Dominic and Cecil Jr. flew off with the cocaine. Dominic lands at Cecil Sr.'s house to pick him up. Cecil Sr. grabs a handful of letters and as he, Dominic and Cecil Jr. are about to leave, Alvin and Carlos drive up and start shooting at them. Dominic finds the bundle of letters Cecil Sr. brought and reads them and shows Cecil Jr. them. Dominic has Cecil Jr. read them out loud and some of them include recent letters he wrote to Evelyn after she was dead mentioning how proud Cecil Sr. was of Cecil Jr. Dominic calls Hawke and tells him they need Airwolf and to meet him at the refinery. As Dominic and Cecil Sr. are about to go to the oilfield, Alvin and Carlos break into their hotel room and Cecil Jr. appears to have left them. Dominic and Cecil Sr. manage to knock them unconscious and at the oilfield, Noble tells Moose they are going to meet with the Mule after setting a distraction. Dominic tells Cecil Sr., he and Cecil Jr. read the letters he wrote.

Noble sets a timer on a roll of dynamite and as he and Moose are leaving, Cecil Jr. orders them by gunpoint to get in his helicopter. Moose grabs Cecil Jr. and they throw him inside the office trailer. The dynamite goes off starting a large fire. The Mule drives up in a truck and Noble and Moose leave with him. Dominic and Cecil Sr. see the oilfield on fire and Dominic calls Hawke for help. Cecil Sr. asks First Worker what happened and First Worker says the pipe went off like a bomb. While Cecil Sr. helps to put out the fire, Dominic finds Cecil Jr. and unties him. Cecil Sr. goes into the dynamite shack and Cecil Jr. chases after him. Cecil Jr. manages to get Cecil Sr. out right as the shack explodes while First Worker and Hand 2 hold Dominic back. Cecil Jr. helps the other workers try and get the fire at the refinery out. Airwolf arrives to the exclamation of Hand 1 and uses its munitions to dig a trench for the fire to follow away from the refinery. Hawke flies Airwolf to catch Noble, Moose and the Mule who get into a helicopter with Pilot. Noble tells Pilot to shoot Airwolf down and Hawke shoots the helicopter out of the sky. At the hospital, Cecil Sr. shows Caitlin, Hawke, Dominic and Cecil Jr. all the get well cards he received. Hawke tells Cecil Jr. the prosecutor said he can fulfill his probation in California, but Cecil Sr. says Cecil Jr. will stay in Texas where he can teach him how to fly.
