Caroline Brace works for Vogue magazine. She was formerly married to David Shelby.
During the events of Avalanche (1978) played by Mia Farrow
Caroline arrives at the Windom Peak ski resort and is greeted by her former mother in law Florence Shelby. They go to see David who is happy to see Caroline. When they are walking to get lunch, David is distracted by Nick Thorne who argues with him about the safety of the mountain. Nick stops by to say hello to Caroline later and she invites him to the opening dinner. At dinner she asks Nick if he would like to dance, which eventually leads to an argument with David. That night she leaves with Nick to his house. After the avalanche hits, Caroline returns to the resort. When Florence is rescued, Caroline performs CPR on her until the paramedics arrive. She leaves with the ambulance, which due to the weather and erratic driving of the driver, crashes. Caroline is thrown out of the ambulance and is left dangling over a bridge while the ambulance crashes into the gorge below. David with the help of Nick arrive and save Caroline. Later she returns to the resort and says goodbye to both Nick and David.
