Background
Dagoth the Dreaming God, is an ancient evil god. He was defeated once and imprisoned in a statue. According to the Scrolls of Skelos, a young woman with a certain birth mark would find his horn and bring him back to life.
During the events of Conan the Destroyer (1984) played by Andre the Giant
Princess Jehnna returns to Shadizar with the Horn of Dagoth and the ceremony to bring him back to life begins. As the Grand Vizier is about to slit Jehnna's throat, Zula impales and kills him with her pointed staff. As the time of the required sacrifice passes, Dagoth transforms into a hideous beast.
