Background
Immortals are immortal beings with psychic powers that live in Vortex 4. They are descended from scientists who fled and created a protected location after the apocalypse.
During the events of Zardoz (1974)
The Immortals twice take a vote on Zed's fate. Once Zed defends himself against Consuella, she gathers a group of Immortals who run around searching for him. After Zed removes their immortality the Immortals who stay in Vortex 4 ask the Exterminators to kill them.
