Background

Max is the manager of an apartment building in New York City.

During the events of The Echo (2008) played by Hrant Alianak

Bobby Reynolds walks into the apartment building and tells Max that he is Helen Davis' son and Max gives him the keys to apartment 519. Bobby asks Max who else has been in the apartment, but Max tells him that Bobby has the only key. Max tells Bobby that Helen used to lock herself in her apartment for weeks and she went crazy. Bobby asks Max who lives next to him and he called the cops on them, and Max tells him no one lives there.
