Detailed Synopsis
Abigail Ashe wakes up and wipes the mealworms from the piece of bread in front of her and eats it. Captain Charles Vane throws a bottle at Flint's Messenger and then tells Flint's Messenger to continue telling his message. Flint's Messenger tells him that if he fails to meet the demands and remain past the deadline, Captain Flint will respond swiftly and definitively. Vane tells Jenks to move the cannons to the southwest bastion, but Jenks tells him that it cannot support the weight of the cannons, which Flint also knows. Jenks insinuates that Eleanor Guthrie told Flint about their weakness and Vane asks Eleanor to promise to him that she didn't provide information to Flint. Eleanor tells Vane that she has nothing to do with Flint's plan. Captain Benjamin Hornigold tells his attack plan to Flint, Mr. Scott, De Groot, and Dufresne. Flint asks how long it will take to rebuild the fort and Hornigold asks him if he intends to follow through on his threat to take the fort. In the past, Flint greets Miranda Barlow and Thomas Hamilton tells him that Alfred Hamilton is coming for a visit. He tells Flint that Alfred expects them to give him a full report on their plan for Nassau. After Max, Rackham and Anne Bonny's threesome, Alice knocks on Max's door and tells her that she is needed.
Rackham goes out to the balcony and notices the prostitutes are not working and Idelle tells him that a Spanish warship is anchored in the bay and rumor is that it belongs to Flint. As Eleanor, Babatunde and Flint's Messenger are about to leave, Jenks suggests to Vane that they use Eleanor as a hostage. Vane challenges Jenks to a fight and then orders the gates opened to let Eleanor leave. Eleanor and Babatunde take a boat to Flint's ship and Eleanor is brought to Flint. She tells him that Vane has issued his reply and hands it to Flint. Flint orders everyone out and after reading Vane's reply accuses Eleanor of helping Vane. Eleanor tells Flint that Vane will not leave the fort if it means he looks weak and recommends she, Flint and Vane have a meeting. Vane goes to Abigail's cell and introduces himself to her. He asks her questions about Peter Ashe, but she tells him that she hasn't seen Peter in many years. He then has Abigail write her own ransom note with the demand of 250,000 pounds. Mr. Scott tells Flint and the others that some pirates have joined Vane's forces. Flint tells John Silver to go to the beach to try and stop any more pirates from joining Vane. Silver tells Flint that the pirates may have joined Vane, because they don't like Flint.
In the past, Thomas tells Flint his proposal to offer amnesty to the pirates on Nassau. Flint tells him that his proposal is a bad one. Silver listens as a man on the beach describes the night Vane took the fort. Bystander recalls that there supposedly wasn't any survivors. After the man on the beach's speech, Silver pays him. Silver and Randall walk around the beach and Peering Pirate tells Silver that a man was pulled from the water and the man is a member of The Walrus crew. Silver walks over to look at the man and it turns out to be Billy Bones. Eleanor meets with Frasier, Captain Lawrence and Captain Naft and tells them that Flint didn't agree to her plan. A Crier tells a crowd a message by Vane which states that Vane will protect the fort and Frasier tells Eleanor that he paid four criers to give the same message. Eleanor goes to talk with Miranda and tries to convince her to change Flint's mind. Miranda tells her that she can't help her and blames Eleanor for leading Flint down his current path. Max tells Rackham that it is his fault for them being in competition over Anne. Max brings him to speak with Idelle, who tells him that Mr. Featherstone, the navigator on the Colonial Dawn is looking to find another captain and offers to get Featherstone to join Rackham.
Silver pays Lowly Merchant to hide Billy and Randall. Randall doesn't think Silver is doing the right thing and Billy wakes up and asks for Gates. Anne reassures Rackham and tells him that she knows that Max is trying to play them against each other. Max walks over to Rackham and Anne and tells them that Featherstone tomorrow will join Rackham and Anne. Hornigold tells Flint that a number of the captains are on his side. In the past, Alfred arrives for his dinner with Thomas, Miranda, and Flint. Thomas tells Alfred his plan on offering amnesty to the pirates and they start to argue. Alfred asks Flint if he is in agreement with Thomas' plan and Flint tells him that he supports the plan. Pastor Lambrick goes to Miranda's house and tells her what he heard on the beach and accuses her of not really wanting to repent. Returning to the past, Thomas has a meeting with a group of men including Peter. He tells them of his plan and most of them get up and leave, except Peter who offers to help. Richard Guthrie speaks to Eleanor and offers to help her. Flint asks Mr. Scott his opinion and Mr. Scott thinks taking the fort would be a bad idea. Flint walks to his and Hornigold's crew and tells them to fire on the fort.
