Background

Dr. Barry Farber is an orthodontist in New York City. He is currently in a relationship with Mindy. Barry was engaged to marry Rachel Green, but she left him on the alter.

During the events of Friends: Season 1 Episode 2 The One with the Sonogram at the End played by Mitchell Whitfield

Rachel goes to Barry's dental office where he is working on Robbie. She tells him that he looks good. Rachel notices Barry has a tan and he tells her that he went to Aruba with Mindy, Rachel's maid of honor. She then notices that he got hair plugs and contact lenses. He tells her that he is happy with Mindy and Rachel gives him back the engagement ring and leaves.
