Detailed Synopsis

St. John is flying in Airwolf, while being pursued by a jet flown by Mike Rivers during simulated wargames. Meanhwile, Jo Santini and Jason Locke are watching the simulation over a video feed. Mike manages to shoot down Airwolf during the simulation and later Locke goes over the planned rescue of a double agent named Klaus Hertzfeld with Mike, Jo and St. John. St. John tells them that the mission date has been moved up due to Klaus flying at the beginning of the air show instead of the end. At the Paris Air Show, Jo goes into the Santini Air office, where Locke is watching as Mike applies a fake mustache to appear more like Klaus. St. John tells Mike that he put a helmet in his locker room with the same communication channel as Airwolf. Klaus is dropped off and shakes hands with Dr. Victor Hessler who has Strauss open the door to let Katharina Hertzfeld out of the car. Elan asks Mechanic for help, and while Mechanic is distracted, Achmed knocks him unconscious. Omar then shoots Mechanic in the head with a gun.

Plain Clothesman escorts Klaus to the locker room and checks inside before letting Klaus in. Mike climbs into the room from an air vent and tells Mike that he is already suspected of being a double agent and that Katharina has been brought as a hostage. Katharina tells Dr. Hessler that Klaus would never defect. Strauss gets Mike and Mike is taken to the plane. Klaus gives Locke a cassette with the name of the mole and Elan tells Achmed and Terrorist they will make their move after Mike lands his plane. Jo and Locke watch the cassette tape and see the mole is Alfred Kenderson. As Katharina goes to congratulate Mike, Achmed drives up in a van with Elan and Terrorist and kidnaps Mike and Katharina. Terrorist shoots Plain Clothesman dead and Strauss shoots Terrorist dead.

Locke and St. John get into Airwolf while Jo and Klaus steal a car and drive after the van while Frenchman yells at them for stealing his car. Elan finds the microphone in Mike's helmet and throws it out of the van and then knocks Mike and Katharina unconscious. She sees Dr. Hessler and Strauss following them and throws a grenade out the back of the van, which then explodes and kills Dr. Hessler and Strauss. Elan and Achmed drag Mike and Katharina into a new vehicle and put an explosive inside the van. Mike and Katharina are locked inside a barn. Jo and Klaus find the van and it explodes. Omar arrives at the barn in a helicopter and tells Mike he wants him to train his pilots. Jo asks Franch Farmer questions and he tells her there is an abandoned farm down the road. A fight breaks out and Omar gets into the helicopter and flies off. Klaus is shot in the arm and Jo shoots Elan dead. Mike shoots Achmed dead and Locke and St. John shoot Omar's helicopter out of the sky. Jo and Mike hug while Klaus and Katharina hug and kiss. At Mike's apartment, Locke tells everyone that Klaus and Katharina have been granted refugee status and Kenderson has been arrested.
