Background

Max is a prostitute on Nassau on New Providence Island. She is in a relationship with Eleanor Guthrie.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 1 I. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

John Silver is taken to a room and is brought to "Blackbeard" who is a prostitute with a lot of hair below. He is then pleasured by Max, Idelle and some other prostitutes. Max finds a page and notices Silver is constantly keeping an eye on it and asks Silver why it is so important. Silver sneaks onto The Walrus with Max's help and starts searching through Captain Flint's books. Max comforts Eleanor after Captain Charles Vane assaults her. Later, Idelle tells Max that Rackham is waiting for her and Max tells Rackham that she has something that he might want to buy.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 2 II. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Eleanor gets up and looks outside at the beach. Max wakes up and Eleanor tells her how when Richard Guthrie ran things, the place was in chaos and filthy. She tells Max that a man-o'-war was spotted and she worries that the Royal Navy will come back to reclaim Nassau. Mr. Scott knocks on the door and asks to see Eleanor. Max is using her hand to pleasure Handjob Pirate who tells her that he wants to have sex, but she tells him that Eleanor pays to have Max for her own. Silver walks through the door and interrupts them and Handjob Pirate is upset with Silver's lack of decency.

Silver tells Max that Flint has discovered that he has the schedule and they should quickly make the deal and leave for Port Royal. Silver looks through a peephole as Frasier appraises the pearls for Max. Max agrees to the payment and tells Rackham to go to the Wrecks at sundown in order to receive the schedule. Vane barges in and accuses Max of lying about the schedule and Rackham notices Silver looking through the peephole and tells Vane. Eleanor goes to see Max and Noonan tells her that Max won't tell him what happened. Max starts to tell Eleanor about her plan when Eleanor tells her to giver her the schedule. Max tells her that Vane will kill her if she doesn't deliver the page. Gates knocks on the door and Max realizes Eleanor betrayed her. Flint, Gates and Billy Bones enter the room and Max tells them where the schedule will be delivered. She later packs her things and leaves the brothel.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 3 III. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Vane walks into a building where a beaten and naked Max is tied up. He asks her why she left the bordello when she had protection and she asks him how it felt when Eleanor threw him away. As Rackham is sneaking Max to the boat, he is stopped by Hamund who tells him that the crew will decide when Max leaves. Eleanor hears Max screaming and runs out of Vane's tent and sees Hamund raping Max. Eleanor declares that Vane's crew from now on will be cut off from the island and its resources unless they elect a new captain and join Flint. Eleanor tries to comfort Max, but Max tells her that Eleanor is the cause of everything by not leaving with her. Max then walks to Vane and says she will stay until her debt is paid.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 4 IV. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Max has sex with Slade and afterwards tells him the better he treats her, the more he will enjoy their sex. Hamund hears what Slade says and goes into Max's tent and beats her.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 5 V. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Rackham has Mrs. Mapleton tend to Max and when Mrs. Mapleton is too rough with Max, Anne Bonny tells her to leave and tends to Max herself. Anne tells Max a story of when she cut off a pirate's balls when he put them on her shoulder when she was asleep.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 6 VI. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Max looks out her tent towards Anne. Later after killing Hamund, Anne returns Max to the brothel and Max thanks her.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 7 VII. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Idelle tells Max that Alice made her porridge. Idelle tells her that the other prostitutes are wondering how she made Hamund and the others disappear. She then tells Max that she and the other prostitutes are stealing from Rackham. Rackham tells Distressed Whore that she isn't making enough money and will have to leave. Distressed Whore starts to cry and Alice gives Rackham five pieces of coin. Max walks up to Alice and tells her that she knows Alice just serviced Captain Hallendale and he gave her more money. Alice argues with Max, who slaps her and then admits to Rackham that she was lying and will never do it again.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 8 VIII. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Rackham fires Mrs. Mapleton and Max brings up that none of the powerful merchants will care what Mrs. Mapleton tells them about the death of Noonan as they are all enjoying themselves at the brothel. Mrs. Mapleton angrily walks away and Rackham gives a cheers to Max. Later, Eleanor apologizes to Max and Max congratulates her on her endeavor.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 1 IX. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Rackham goes to the brothel and Anne asks him what happened after seeing his broken nose. Anne asks who did it to him and he tells her that she can't kill all of their enemies. Max tells Anne that she will send someone up to tend to Rackham, but Anne tells her to get away. Eleanor has a meeting with Rackham, Max and Anne and complains to Rackham that Captain Hallendale failed to capture a ship, because he is spending too much time at the brothel. Max tells Eleanor that she sold the information to Ned Low and Eleanor warns her not to meddle in her affairs again. After the meeting, Anne angrily tells Rackham that either Max is turned into a prostitute again or Anne will deal with her. Max talks with Anne and they kiss.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 2 X. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Max walks into her room and finds a drunk Anne who tells her that she feels guilty for betraying Rackham and sleeping with Max. Rackham confronts Max about seducing Anne and Max tells him that there is nothing he can do about it. Anne wakes up in the middle of the night and goes to Max's bedroom and they have sex. Rackham catches them and offers a compromise that Max will provide all leads to him and then he and Anne will gather a crew and act on those leads.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 3 XI. played by Jessica Parker Kennedy

Anne and Max have sex and Anne grabs for Max's hand afterwards. Vane goes to the bordello and makes a deal with Max that she provide him with information on Ned's prize and he will remove the black mark he put on Rackham and Anne. As he is walking away, Max offers to tell him how she got over loving Eleanor, but he doesn't want to hear it. Rackham and Anne return to the bordello and Vane asks Rackham and Anne to sit with him. Vane tells them that he wants to repair their reputations and he is doing it because of Max. Max tells Vane what Ned's cargo is and Vane shakes Rackham's hand publicly. Rackham celebrates with Anne about getting a crew and she invites him to have sex with her and Max.
