Background

The Tuunbaq is a mutant polar bear in the Canadian Arctic.

During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 2 Gore

After tracking him and Sgt. Daniel Bryant, the Tuunbaq charges at Lt. Graham Gore and kills him.

During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 3 The Ladder

June, 1847, John Franklin is invited by Sgt. Solomon Tozer and Pvt. William Heather to wait in the blind with them and Bryant is suddenly grabbed and killed by the Tuunbaq. The rest of the men in the blind start shooting and Franklin starts to stumble away in shock. Franklin starts calling out for the Erebus and as James Fitzjames and [[]]Charles Des Voeux go out to save him, Franklin is grabbed by the Tuunbaq, chewed in half, and dropped into the fire pit with the Shaman.

During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 4 Punishment, as a Boy

November, 1847, the Tuunbaq attacks and kills William Strong and injures Pvt. William Heather. As Francis Crozier and Thomas Evans tries to track it, it kills Evans. Later, while on duty, Cornelius Hickey finds Strong's body resting on the edge of the ship and sees the Tuunbaq walking away.

During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 5 First Shot a Winner, Lads

The Tuunbaq kills Thomas Darlington and then goes on the deck and kills another man and then attacks Thomas Blanky. Blanky climbs up the mast and yells at the men to fire the cannon at it. The Tuunbaq strikes at Blanky's leg, gouging deep furrows into it. Blanky throws a lit lantern on the Tuunbaq, setting it on fire and Tozer has the skin on his hands ripped off as he aims the cannon upwards. The crew fire the cannon and the Tuubaq falls to the ground, but disappears.
