Dreamland Shores Ants are ants mutated by radioactive waste in Florida.
During the events of Empire of the Ants (1977)
The Dreamland Shores Ants eat the liquid from a leaking barrel of radioactive waste. It then mutates them and their Queen into giant ants that control the local human populace. They take over the town of Sunland, Florida and force them to provide them with sugar. They are all killed by Joe Morrison when he crashes a fuel truck in the warehouse they are in.
