Mother is a farmer in Oklahoma. She is married to Father and is the father of Jo.
During the events of Twister (1996) played by Taylor Gilbert
During a storm, Mother goes upstairs to get Jo. She, Jo and Father then run to the storm cellar. After Father is sucked into the tornado trying to hold the door closed, Mother holds Jo back when she tries to run towards him.
