Danielle "Danny" St. Clair is forest ranger with the U.S. Forestry Department assigned to Fire Lookout Tower 19. She owns a pet bird named Hoppy. Danielle and Julie used to be roommates. She killed her friend Julie when she drove home drunk and crashed Julie's car after a night of heavy drinking they did.
