Joseph David of Bethlehem is a carpenter from the city of Nazareth. He is married to Mary, Mother of Jesus.
During the events of Ben-Hur (1959)
Joseph travels to Bethlehem with Mary where she gives birth to Jesus. He teaches Jesus to be a carpenter, but is understanding when Jesus follows the path of God.
