Background
Mayor Tom Gillis is the mayor of Deadwood, South Dakota.
During the events of Bigfoot (2012) played by Howard Hesseman
Mayor Gillis is called to the location of Harley's festival, when Simon and his group chain themselves to the construction equipment. He asks Becky and Walt to either arrest or beat Simon and Becky ends up arresting Simon and brings him to jail. When Simon continues to make trouble, Mayor Gillis threatens to shut down the music festival if Harley doesn't take care of Simon, legally. After Bigfoot attacks the festival and kills festival goers, He is questioned by Reporter 1 and Reporter 2 and he blames everything on Harley after Reporter 1 asks him about rumors that he knew about Bigfoot before the festival. Harley presents a plan to create a Bigfoot Park and Mayor Gillis tells him he will divert funds from the fire department's pension fund for starter cash. Once Bigfoot is killed at Mount Rushmore, Mayor Gillis unveils a new monument that depicts the heroic actions of Simon and Harley.
