During Carrol Jo's trial the Prosecutor calls Witness who says he saw Carrol Jo kill Duane. The Forewoman then questions the Witness. After the grand jury fails to charge Carrol Jo, the Prosecutor blames Witness for not remembering his lines to Cutler.
