Roland McGovern is a student at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. His sister is Katie McGovern and his brother-in-law is Rob Sweeney.
During the events of Dead of Winter (1987) played by Mark Malone
Roland starts to ask Katie a question when she just closes the apartment door and leaves. After she goes missing Rob and Roland drive to try and find Katie. They go to a gas station and are given a bag of goldfish by Gas Jock and Rob remembers what Julie told him about the goldfish. They drive to the police station and eventually Katie is saved.
