Detailed Synopsis

Captain Flint recounts the story of Rebecca from the Bible to John Silver. Flint talks about how close they are to victory. The lookout spots two ship flags. De Groot tells Flint that there is no signs of alarms being raised. Silver goes to speak with Madi and tells her that with how little men Woodes Rogers has, they should be able to make their landing on Nassau. Rackham gives orders to the pirate armada crew. He suggests to Blackbeard that they give the crew some encouraging words and afterwards, Blackbeard comments to Anne Bonny that the reason she doesn't speak much is because Rackham never stops talking. Flint notices that Rogers' ships aren't moving and there are no guns on the fort. Silver notices the Defiant, the lead ship is suddenly changing direction and Flint orders The Whale to turn around. The Walrus begins to scrape against ships sunk and used as traps and becomes stuck. Captain Berringer tells Rogers the barricade held and Rogers has the cannons on the fort open fire on the pirate fleet. He then gives the order to have his sloops engage the fleet. Flint has the topsails and t'gallants reset which gives the crew of The Walrus enough height to then engage the fort. Flint then orders everyone to abandon ship. Kofi escorts Madi off The Walrus while Silver finds another way off. Anne wonders why Blackbeard isn't firing back and Rackham tells her that if they did, they would kill as many pirates as Redcoats. The rigging Silver is hanging from is blown away and he falls into the water. Rogers agrees to let Berringer chase after Blackbeard instead of rounding up the crew from The Walrus.

Rogers leaves the fort and orders someone to bring Eleanor Guthrie to him. In the secure area of the fort, Eleanor sits next to Mrs. Hudson and the other women embroidering pieces of fabric while Pastor Lambrick preaches to some of them. Max notices the sounds of battle have ceased and wonders if it is a good sign for them. Lieutenant Utley tells Eleanor that Rogers would like to see her. Eleanor goes to Rogers and tells him that she will play the part of a wife if that assures his success. Rogers then leaves with Berringer to patrol the streets. Madi stands on the beach with Flint as the last longboat comes ashore. Flint tells her that Silver is also his friend and as the survivors on the longboat climb out, Silver is not among them. Billy Bones and his men arrive at the beach and Flint demands to know why Billy didn't warn him about the scuttled ships, but Billy tells him that he did send message via Featherstone for Flint to be warned. They realize Featherstone has betrayed them. Billy asks about Silver and Flint tells him that Silver is missing. Madi has a flashback of her and Silver in bed together when Silver told her about the legend of the pirate king that Billy spread, and the pirate king is Silver. Silver tells Madi that him being elevated above Flint bothers him as they accomplished amazing things as equal partners and doing things differently may be tempting fate and also that Flint is his friend. Madi questions if Flint is really his friend and brings up that Silver had mentioned the fates of those who once called Flint friend. She then tells Silver that she doesn’t think he needs Flint to be the man who he could be.

Blackbeard continues to be chased by Berringer and Blackbeard tells his crew to be prepared to be boarded. Berringer’s crew boards Blackbeard’s ship and during the fight, Rackham tries to mimic the fighting spirit of Blackbeard, but is almost killed by British sailor. Berringer tells Rogers that his men have captured 75 captives, but Rogers believes there are more pirates still out there. Rogers then tells Berringer to find informants to tell them where the pirates might hide. Lieutenant Kendrick brings in a new set of prisoners including De Groot. Rogers questions De Groot, but De Groot curses at him. Berringer hits De Groot with his rifle and then tells De Groot he remembers him from when Berringer’s men were ambushed in the forest. Berringer says he heard trophies were taken from his men’s bodies and Berringer cuts off De Groot’s ear. Rogers then tells Berringer to start the trials of the pirates immediately. Billy tells Flint of what has happened on the island lately and how Berringer led a mutiny to keep his men from returning to England. Billy continues that Berringer starting purging anyone suspected of being a pirate. Billy takes Flint and the survivors to his camp which happens to be Miranda Barlow’s old home. Madi asks Flint if the war is over and reminds Flint of what he told The Maroon Queen, that their army would strike a blow against England which would shake it to its foundation. She asks if the war died with Silver.

Max and Eleanor walk in as Rogers is watching Judge Adams preside over the trials of the captured pirates. Rogers says that they must feed and house the pirates while the pirates would have murdered the British prisoners. Max asks if she will be reimbursed for the costs of the trials being in her tavern. Rogers gets upset and tells Max that her help will be required until the war is done. Billy tells Flint and Madi about his plan to free the slaves at the Underhill plantation. Flint thinks they should attack Rogers at once, but Billy tells him that Flint is not in charge of Billy’s men, he is. Flint reminds Billy that he may be the only one alive that knows where the treasure chest is. Madi tells Flint that Silver told her where the treasure is hidden and that neither Flint nor Billy will be the only one in charge. In the ocean Silver removes his fake leg and gets himself free of the rigging. He swims inside The Walrus and finds an air pocket where a goat is also hiding. The Walrus starts to sink further into the ocean, but then stops again.

Revenge Doctor stitches up Rackham’s wound and Anne tells him to leave. Anne tells Rackham that Blackbeard will never see him in the same way as Captain Charles Vane. Rackham tells her he doesn’t care about Blackbeard’s opinion and only rushed to fight because he feels bad for not killing Rogers when he had the chance, which would have saved Vane’s life. Anne tells him that Vane is dead and there is no sense in dying for someone who is already dead. Anne then tells Rackham that Blackbeard has set a course back towards Nassau in order to make an offer to Rogers, an end to the war if he hands over Eleanor. Eleanor explains to Rogers that she had Vane hanged in order to protect their future. She then gets upset with how much of a financial burden is being placed on Max. Rogers tells Eleanor that when he divorced his former wife Sarah, her family intervened with some of Rogers’ creditors and accelerated the timeline in which he had to pay his debts. He says that if he cannot pay his debts, a warrant will be put for his arrest. Eleanor then tells Rogers that her family also has influence. Silver washes ashore and sees Israel Hands murdering any surviving pirates he comes across. Silver tries to hide but is caught by Hands, who recognizes him.
