When [[Newt's Father]] and [[Newt's Mother]] go to explore the crashed alien vessel, Newt's Father is attacked by a Facehugger.  The rest of the colony of Hadleys Hope is then captured and cocooned to be infected by Facehuggers.

A Facehugger cause the EEV carrying Ripley, Hicks, Newt and Bishop to eject when its acid burns through one of the floors of the Sulaco.  It attacks Ripley on the EEV and an oxen on Fiorina 161.

Facehugger

Background

The Facehugger is the second stage of and house a Facehugger. Once a Facehugger attaches to a host it incubates an alien inside the chest cavity of the host. They were originally found on a derelict spaceship on the planet Acheron or LV426. They have an outer layer of protein polysaccharides and amino acids making them suited for extreme long term environmental exposure. They are 80 cm in height.


During the events of Alien (1979)

While Kane is searching a derelict spaceship, he is attacked by a Faceghugger which attaches to the helmet of his spacesuit. He is brought on board the Nostromo and when Dallas and Ash try and remove the Facehugger by cutting one of its legs they find out it has acid for blood. The Facehugger eventually removes itself from Kane and dies.

During the events of Aliens (1986)
