Background
Aquatica Sharks are two first generation and one second generation female mako sharks genetically modified by Aquatica Research. Through genetic modification their brains have been increased and have learned to hunt as a pack.
During the events of Deep Blue Sea (1999)
After the second generation shark bites off Jim Whitlock's arm off, they utilize the chaos to force the other workers of Aquatica to flee to the surface, flooding Aquatica as they flee. The Aquatica Sharks kill Russell Franklin, Janice Higgins, Tom Scoggins and Dr. Susan McAlester, before they are all killed.
