Background
Rats are mutant rats with heightened intelligence. They were pushed to the surface by humans seeking shelter from radiation and now consider the surface their home.
During the events of Rats: Night of Terror (1984)
The Rats have killed all of the members of Delta 2, who had been working on Operation Return to Light. They then start attacking and killing Kurt's fellow New Primitives. The Rats are dispersed when members of Omega One appear from underground and start spraying them.
