President

Background

President is the President of the United States of America. He was given a life term after he accurately predicted an earthquake would devastate Los Angeles. His daughter is Utopia and he had another daughter that committed suicide.

During the events of Escape from L.A. (1996) played by Cliff Robertson

The President, Malloy and Brazen recruit Snake Plissken to retrieve a top secret device that was stolen by Utopia and given to Cuervo Jones in L.A., in exchange for a full pardon and the antidote for the Plutoxin virus. Before Snake leaves the President tells him to kill Utopia when he finds her. When Snake's tracking beacon initially goes dead, the President wants to quickly move into a different plan, however Malloy advises him to be patient. As time continues to tick down, President orders a missile strike against, L.A., but Malloy refuses the order and warns him that if Cuervo Jones sees any aircraft he might use the device which controls the Sword of Damocles, a satellite system that can knock out the electrical grid of nations, against the United States. When Snake returns, the President chastises him for not killing Utopia and then orders Utopia be sent to be electrocuted. The President holds a news conference where he threatens to shut off the power grids of the enemy countries, but when he plays the device, it plays a recording from Map to the Stars Eddie. The President then orders Snake to be shot dead, and when Snake's image turns out to be just a hologram the power goes out all across the globe.
