Hornigold tells Hornigold's Boatswain to turn around so they can come at a different angle, and then notices the large number of Maroons along the beach. Later, Chamberlain along with [[Lieutenant Perkins (Black Sails)|Lieutenant Perkins]] tells Eleanor that he notices that there are more ships beyond his own that are preparing to leave to fight the Maroons.  She tells him that Hornigold will be going with him along with men belonging to Throckmorton.

The British troops land on the island and the pirates and Maroons begin firing at them.  The mortars start to fire on the island defenses and Flint eventually tells his men to retreat.  [[Major Rollins]] orders his men to follow after Flint, but Hornigold tells him that Flint only wants them to quickly follow him so they can be ambushed.   
 
[[Dobbs (Black Sails)|Dobbs]] approaches Hornigold and tells him that he was sent to kill him by Flint, but has chosen to surrender.  Dobbs tells him that he is upset that his fellow pirates betrayed him and took the side of the Maroons when he was punished.  Hornigold has Dobbs shoot [[Pirate Prisoner]] in the head to prove he is not lying, which Dobbs does and Hornigold sets him free. 
 
Hornigold tells [[Mr. Smalls]] to tell Rollins where they are located.  Hornigold's men and the British troops start firing upon the Maroon camp.  Hornigold looks at Dobbs, who is smiling at him and realizes he and Rollins have been led into a trap.  The pirates and Maroons ambush Hornigold and Rollins' men and start to slaughter them.  Dobbs walks towards Hornigold, who shoots and kills him.  Hornigold charges at Flint, who shoots and kills him.

Background
