Background
Warner Von Green is in charge of the United States Starshot Program.
During the events of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964) played by Carl Don
When the Martian spaceship enters Earth's orbit, Von Green believes it to be a Martian ship and not an asteroid. After Santa Claus is captured, Von Green tells the viewing public that the astronaut program has been accelerated in order to bring back Santa to Earth.
