During the Hogwarts banquet, Dumbledore welcomes back [[Professor Grubbly-Plank]] as the Care of Magical Creatures while Hagrid is away.  He then introduces [[Dolores Umbridge]] as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.  Dolores interrupts Dumbledore and tells the students that the Ministry of Magic is very concerned about their education.  Dolores and McGonagall have an argument about Harry's punishment and Dolores declares that things at Hogwarts are worse than the Ministry thought.  Filch posts a decree stating that Dolores has been appointed as the Hogwarts High Inquisitor.  Dolores starts to questions the professors and creates increasingly more and more decrees including the banning of all Weasley products.  As she is monitoring Flitwick and the choir perform, she uses a measuring tape to measure Flitwick

Professor Flitwick

Background

Filius Flitwick is the charms professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is the head of Ravenclaw. Flitwick is also the choir professor.

During the events of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) played by Warwick Davis

Professor Flitwick teaches the students about the making of charm spells that can make things fly. As Ron Weasley is trying the spell, Hermione Granger corrects him in the proper way of saying the spell.


During the events of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) played by Warwick Davis

Professor McGonagall tells Professor Snape, Madam Pomfrey, Professor Flitwick, and Mr Filch, Ginny Weasley was taken to the Chamber of Secrets and all the students must be sent home. Before the end of the year feast, Albus Dumbledore asks for a round of applause for Professor Sprout and Madam Pomfrey and all of the students and professors clap, including Madam Pince. Hagrid returns and everyone gives Hagrid a round of applause.

Harry Potter, Hermione and Ron arrive at school where Professor Flitwick leads the choir in a rendition of Double Double Toil and Trouble from Macbeth. Before their feast, Albus Dumbledore introduces the students to Professor Lupin. Dumbledore announces that Hagrid will be teaching the Care of Magical Creatures course and as Hagrid stands up, he knocks the table, causing Professor Flitwick to have to grab it..

Dumbledore tells the students that Hogwarts will be hosting the Triwizard Tournament. Dumbledore introduces Madame Olympe Maxime and the students of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, including Fleur Delacour. He then introduces Igor Karkaroff and the students of Durmstrang, which includes Viktor Krum. Dumbledore introduces Maxime to Hagrid, who accidentally stabs his fork into the palm of Flitwick. The Goblet of Fire is brought into the hall and Dumbledore tells the students that whoever wins the tournament will have eternal glory. Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody walks into the hall and is greeted by Dumbledore and Harry watches as Moody takes a drink from a small flask. Barty Crouch tells the students that no student under the age of 17 will be able to apply to participate for the Triwizard Tournament.
