Background

Michael "Mike" Danton is a resident of Los Angeles, California. His wife is Jaimy and his father-in-law is Jaimy's Father. Danton is a Vietnam War veteran and was trained by Colonel Hogan and saved the life of Cooper.

During the events of Deadly Prey (1987) played by Ted Prior

Danton's alarm goes off and Jaimy tells him it is time to get out of bed. As he is taking out the trash, Danton is kidnapped in a van by Thorton and some Soldiers. Danton is told to run by Thorton and runs towards the woods. The Soldiers, Thorton and Cooper begin to hunt Danton, who starts picking off Soldiers. He captures one of the new recruits and interrogates him. The new recruit Soldier tells him they are 75 miles southeast of Los Angeles, they are training to be mercenaries and Hogan is in charge. Danton continues to whittle down the number of Soldiers. Hogan, Sybil, Thorton, Cooper and a new group of Soldiers start hunting Danton. Cooper finds Danton and they recognize each other from the time Danton took a bullet for Cooper. Danton tells Cooper to find a different line of work and knocks him unconscious. He sneaks into camp and warns Hogan to take his men and leave. In the morning, Danton is found by some Hillbillies who tell Danton to move along. As the Soldiers continue to stalk him, Danton kills more of them. Danton and Thorton get into a fist fight and Thorton wins. Before he can kill Danton, Hogan orders Danton brought back to base.

Hogan invites Danton to join him, but Danton refuses. Danton manages to get himself free and escapes from the base, killing more Soldiers as he escapes. As Danton is about to be shot by a Soldier, Cooper shoots the Soldier and lets Danton escape. Danton makes it home and finds Jaimy missing and Sybil in his house. Hogan calls on the phone and tells Danton he will trade Jaimy for him. Danton hangs up the phone and kills Sybil. He goes into his basement and arms himself with multiple weapons. Cooper joins with Danton and they rescue Jaimy. Danton then leaves Jaimy in some reeds to hide. The Soldiers, who are once again searching for Danton, start to be killed off by the traps he set the night before. Eventually Danton and Cooper kill the remaining Soldiers. Hogan calls out to Danton and Cooper shoots Hogan, but is then shot and killed by Thorton. Jaimy runs away, but is caught by Thorton who murders her in front of Danton. Danton cuts off Thorton's arm with a machete and beats him to death with it before scalping him. He finds Hogan, has him take off his shirt and boots and then tells him to run.
