Andrew McGee is pushing his way through the crowd in Washington, D.C. while carrying Charlie McGee. Meanwhile, Bates is driving a car with Orville Jamieson and Mayo while tailing Andrew and CharlieCharlie tells Andrew she is scared and Orville tells Bates and Mayo not to look Andrew in the eyesOrville and Mayo get out of the car and start chasing Andrew, but Andrew manages to hail a Taxi Driver and tells the Taxi Driver to take him to the airportThe Taxi Driver at first refuses to take them, but Andrew uses his mind powers to convince the Taxi Driver that he has given him a 500 dollar bill.  Andrew falls asleep from exhaustion and has a memory of his past.


Many years later, Jekyll wakes up from a nightmare involving his youthElisabeth Jekyll asks him if he is alright and he tells her to go back to sleep before walking to his studyThe next morning he walks to his job at the hospital, on the way buying a newspaper and saying hello to Mr. Stanton. He mixes up an anesthetic drug of his own design and then applies it to a patient as Lanyon watchesAfter the surgery, Jekyll tells Lanyon that he has been using the drug itself and it has caused him to have dreams of another levelA nurse walks up to Jekyll and tells him a female patient is waitingJekyll and Lanyon inspect the patient, Susannah, and see she is suffering from lashes given to her by her brothersJekyll leaves after noticing that Susannah has a close resemblance to the woman he watched from his youthJekyll returns to his lab at his home and gives Charlie (Monkey)|Charlie a dose of a drug he is working on.  As Jekyll is working on notes, Charlie knocks over a bottle of ether, causing it to mix with cocaine.  Jekyll goes to put out the reaction and inhales a large cloud of the new drug.  Jekyll transforms into Jack Hyde and leaves his house.  He sees a prostitute and follows her down the streetCockney Prostitute propositions Hyde, but he walks on by.  Johnny (Edge of Sanity)|Johnny invites Hyde to visit Madame Flora (Edge of Sanity)|Flora's.  Hyde goes inside and is introduced to Flora and Johnny starts to show him around the bordelloHe shows Hyde a religious themed sadomasochistic show going on and Hyde runs out of the bordello. He sees a man kissing on Susannah and grabs the man and throws him down the stairs, but when he turns around, Susannah is gone.  ? propositions Hyde and they go up to her placeAfter smoking more of his concoction, Hyde grabs her and takes a knife and rips open her panties exposing her butt? turns around and tries to get Hyde to have sex with her and then Hyde starts slapping her and tells her to force him to prayHe starts to pray and then slashes ?'s throat, killing her.  The next morning Elisabeth wakes Jekyll up and Bernadette tells Jekyll that Underwood is waiting for him in his officeJekyll asks Underwood a hypothetical question and tells Underwood he will need his help soon. Coroner (Edge of Sanity)|Coroner shows Newcomen, ?'s body.  The Coroner then describes the wounds on the body and Newcomen suspects it is someone who knows anatomyJekyll tells Egglestone about his drug discovery and Egglestone insists he announce its creation at the Vienna conference.  Egglestone tells Jekyll that if Egglestone is sent to Calcutta, then Jekyll may get his job on the board of governors at the hospitalEgglestone then leaves to speak with Mr Bollingham and tells him about Jekyll's work, but Jekyll warns there might be side effects to the drugElisabeth mentions their upcoming trip to Vienna to meet with Vivian and Jekyll leaves to go back to his lab.  He smokes more of his new drug and goes to a bar where he meets Maggie (Edge of Sanity)|MaggieThey leave and go to Georgie's hotel and Maggie begs Georgie te let her rent a roomMaggie takes Jekyll to the room, but he continues on to the roof and she follows himJekyll notices a peeping tom watching Maggie and tells her the peeping tom likes herJekyll orders Maggie to sit down and exposes her chest so the peeping tom can see and then tells Maggie to rub his cane down up and down her crotchAs Georgie is looking for Maggie, Jekyll takes the cane from Maggie and holds it against her throatJekyll then slashes Maggie's throat and Georgie finds Jekyll standing over Maggie's body.  The next day, Newcomen questions a police officer about Maggie's deathAt Egglestone's going away dinner, Elisabeth tells Egglestone she made Jekyll promise they will come and visit themFlora?/Ann Underwood comments on the murders in London and Mr Bollingham tells her there is no reason to worry.  Other man at table comments India is probably just like the Whitechapel district.  Egglestone argues that the inhabitants of India don't realize that civilization can offer them a better lifeElisabeth mentions Reverend Fowler and Mrs Egglestone? asks who Fowler is.  Elisabeth tells her Fowler is the reverend at St. Michael's in Whitechapel and says how he has opened the church to the prostitutesJekyll tells the others that they would not know what to do if they were suddenly given absolute freedom and ? asks if she isn't already freeJekyll then describes what he means by total freedom by taking the food of Flora/Ann Underwood and grabbing the arm of Mrs Egglestone?  Jekyll shortly after leaves the dinner table after telling other man at table that he would have to be caught first before society could be put in prisonwhen they get home, Jekyll apologizes to Elisabeth for embarrassing her at dinner and she suggests he might be working too hardAs Jekyll is walking away from her, he tells her that he is working with a Jack Hyde at the hospital with a patient that can only be seen at night due to a sleeping sicknessJekyll does more drugs and then makes his way to Flora'sSusannah approaches Jekyll and propositions him and he accepts and Flora has Johnny bring Jekyll a drinkSusannah takes Jekyll into a private room and she smokes some of his drug and tells him her fantasy of getting revenge on her step-father for raping and beating herJohnny walks in with three drinks and Jekyll tells him Susannah wants to do unkind things to him and then forces Johnny into a chair.  Jekyll then makes Johnny smoke some of the drug and has Susannah take Johnny's pants offJekyll then has Johnny tell Susannah to take her clothes off and then has Susannah and Johnny have sex while he watchesJekyll leaves Flora's and Vera Lockton stops him and Jekyll follows her into the alley and murders her.  The next day at the hospital while teaching medical students, Jekyll becomes distracted by the corpses buttocks and suddenly leaves and Lanyon is forced to excuse the studentsAt the church two prostitutes talk about the recent murders in front of Elisabeth.  Liza tells a pregnant prostitute named Nelly that she should have gone to get a free abortion like she didNelly starts to miscarriage and Elisabeth takes her to the hospital where Jekyll works. The nurse tells Elisabeth, Jekyll isn't there and she doesn't know who Hyde is.  Jekyll goes back to Flora's and she tells him Susannah is busy, but Liza is freeHe pushes Liza aside and barges in on Susannah who is with a clientFlora asks Johnny to help her and then asks for a gunJekyll then runs outside the buildingAs Jekyll is walking he comes across a prostitute in a carriageShe propositions him and introduces herself as Margot and her coachman as FrankThey ride away and then stopFrank grabs Jekyll and throws him against the wall and Margot takes out Jekyll's wallet, but finds it emptyJekyll gets away from Frank and then stabs Margot to death before injuring Frank, who calls him the Ripper.  Jekyll goes home and finds Elisabeth outside of his labShe tells him about going to the hospital and not finding him there. She accuses him about lying about Hyde, but he tells her, Hyde really does existAt the hospital, Newcomen questions Jekyll about his work and shows him the drug found near the body of MargotNewcomen tells Jekyll about the description given to the police by Frank of the assailantBefore leaving, Newcomen asks Jekyll to give his opinion on if a doctor could have butchered MargotJekyll meets with the Coroner and Newcomen and tells them no doctor could have killed butchered MargotBernadette tells Elisabeth that her friends are waitingElisabeth goes downstairs and Ann Underwood asks where Jekyll is and Elisabeth tells her, Jekyll is not comingElisabeth, Ann and Underwood then go to the opera togetherJekyll finds a spare drug pipe and struggles with his decision to smoke his drug or notElisabeth goes home and Jekyll apologizes for everything and tells her he needs her and she forgives himJekyll starts to twitch and imagines Elisabeth as Susannah and Elisabeth as SusannahHe suddenly changes into his Hyde persona and runs awayCockney Prostitute propositions Jekyll, and after realizing who he is, but before she can run away, Jekyll murders her.  Elisabeth goes into Jekyll's lab and finds his scribbled notes and drawings of murdered womenElisabeth tells Underwood of Jekyll's behavior and he tells her that Jekyll changed his will to provide any inheritance to HydeShe goes to ask Newcomen for help, but leaves when she sees Jekyll's scarf that was found near the latest victimElisabeth goes to the church and asks if any of the prostitutes know about a Hyde and Liza tells her about SusannahElisabeth goes to Susannah's place of residence and finds Johnny's hanging upside down, bloody, while Susannah smokes from the drug pipeJekyll walks up to Elisabeth and tells her to leaveJohnny attacks Elisabeth and Jekyll temporarily changes from his Hyde person back to JekyllElisabeth gets away and goes home, but is then murdered by JekyllThe next morning, Newcomen is at Jekyll's house and Jekyll tells him the maniac must have followed Elisabeth home and murdered her.  Newcomen vows to get the murderer and Jekyll stares at Newcomen with a crazed stare as Newcomen leaves.
Dr. Joseph Wanless explains the drug trial he is about to perform with its participants including, Andrew, Vicky McGee and Bearded Student for the drug Lot 6Bearded Student asks if the experiment is being conducted by The Shop, and Dr. Wanless tell him it is not.  Vicky asks when they will get their money and Dr. Wanless tells her after the experimentAndrew introduces himself to Vicky and during the experiment, given by a Grad Assistant, Vicky is able to read Andrew's mind and they start to speak to each other telepathically. Suddenly all the other participants start to scream, including Bearded Student, whose eyes start to leak blood.
 
Andrew wakes up and Andrew and Charlie get out of the taxi at the airport.  Orville contacts Knowles and Steinowitz and tells them to go to the airportHe explains to Mayo and Bates how Andrew's powers work, but that he many be too exhausted to use them much moreAndrew tells Charlie that he will have to steal in order for them to be able to get plane tickets, but she tells him stealing is wrongHe tells her that it is one of those lesser of two evils and she understands.  Charlie recalls how she made Vicky scream one time.  As they are walking, Charlie overhears Young Serviceman tell Serviceman's Girlfriend he doesn't want anything to do with her, even after she tells him that she is pregnantAndrew uses his mind powers to make the telephone in the phone booth give him all the changeAs the Young Serviceman and Serviceman's Girlfriend continue to argue, Charlie stares at the Young Serviceman and starts his boots on fire with her mind powersAndrew grabs Charlie and runs out of the airport and the Young Serviceman runs into the women's restroom and shoves his boots in the toiletA Security Guard (Firestarter)|Security Guard then tells Young Serviceman to get out of the restroom stall after Women in Stall screams.  Charlie apologizes to Andrew for setting the Young Serviceman's feet on fire and he tells her she is getting better at controlling her emotionsThey go to a motel and Andrew has a memory from the past.
 
Andrew holds up a piece of toast and has Charlie use her mind powers to burn the toast and then to control her powersVicky tells Charlie it is time for bed and Charlie has a tantrum and sets Vicky's oven mitts on fire.  He remembers the day he came home to find Vicky dead with a piece of cloth stuffed in her mouthAndrew calls Joan Dugan and finds Blinded Agents using chlorophyll to make Charlie go unconscious.  Andrew uses his mind powers to make the Blinded Agents drop their weapons and bring Charlie to him.  Andrew then tells them they are blind, and the Blinded Agents scream out in painJoan walks out of the house, bleeding from her head and Andrew tells her to go back inside and she won't remember anything.
 
At The Shop in Longmont, Virginia, Captain Hollister greets Elaine and Josie (Firestarter)|Josie and Josie tells him, Orville said there is no word on Andrew and CharlieShe then tells him that John Rainbird is in his officeHollister asks how Rainbird's trip to Venice went and Dr. Wanless walks into the roomDr. Wanless tells Hollister he wants Andrew and Charlie killed due to the threat they pose.  He explains how Lot 6 works and worries when Charlie hits puberty.  Hollister suggests doing more experiments and Dr. Wanless threatens to expose The ShopAndrew and Charlie hitch hike and get a ride from Irv MandersAndrew lies to Irv about his wife just having a baby and as Irv is driving they pass by Knowles and Steinowitz who spot Andrew and Charlie riding with IrvBates and Orville question the Motel Owner and Knowles and Steinowitz radio Mayo who tells Orville and BatesIrv invites Andrew and Charlie to eat lunch with him and Norma MandersAfter lunch, Irv figures out Andy lied and asks him who he is running from.  Andrew explains to Irv that The Shop is really the Department of Scientific Intelligence and tells him about The Shop's experiments.  Charlie senses that The Shop agents are coming for them and she inadvertently starts to heat up the houseAndrew tells Charlie he can stop The Shop agents with her powersThe Shop agents arrive and Orville tells Charlie she will have to come with himCharlie tells them to leave and Andrew threatens that the same thing that happened to the Young Serviceman will happen to them.  Irv comes out with his rifle and tells them to leave and Charlie starts to heat the area upKnowles and Steinowitz grab Andrew and Irv is shot by an agentCharlie uses her powers to set Knowles and Steinowitz on fire and then Orville and finally most of the other agents are set on fire and killed.  Irv gives Andrew his jeep and Andrew and Charlie drive to Chimney Rock Lake in TennesseeThey stay at Andrew's father's house and Charlie asks if things will ever be normal againAndrew tells her after they write the letters to the newspapers then they can live a normal lifeDuring the night, Rainbird assassinates Dr. WanlessAndrew and Charlie drive to the post office and Old Man (Firestarter)|Old Man coughs to Old Lady (Firestarter)|Old Lady when he sees themOld Lady asks Proprietor (Firestarter)|Proprietor to use his phoneShe then calls Hollister and tells him that Andrew went to the post office and Hollister tells RainbirdRainbird then tells Hollister he wants to personally kill CharlieAs the Mailman is driving, he is hailed by Rainbird and Bates.  The Mailman gets out to help Rainbird, who then strangles the Mailman to death and steals the mailRainbird tracks down Andrew and Charlie and uses a tranquilizer rifle to shoot them with tranquilizer darts, rendering them unconsciousAndrew and Charlie are brought to The Shop where DSI Orderlies restrain Andrew while Dr. Pynchot tells Andrew that Charlie is okayDr. Pynchot introduces himself after Andrew tries to escape and tells Andrew he is at The ShopHollister brings coco to Charlie and she demands to know where Andrew is.  Hollister tells her they want to study her powersAfter Hollister leaves, Charlie tests her powers to make the coco boilAndrew is forced to take pills by the DSI Orderlies while Charlie is given toysRainbird goes into Charlie's room posing as a janitor and tries to make friends with her.  Hollister and Dr. Pynchot test Andrew's abilities and send in Albright to speak with AndrewAndrew tells Albright to put ink in his water and tries to make him drink it, but failsRainbird eventually fools Charlie into being his friend by appealing to her sense of empathy when the power goes out due to a storm and he tells her he is afraid of the dark from his experience from being a POW in VietnamCharlie agrees to the tests and Dr. Pynchot has her set wood on fire as the first testThe DSI Technicians notice the intense waves as she conducts the test and how quickly she is able to make the temperature riseAfter she passes the test, a DSI technician that was in the room with her runs out and leaves the door openDr. Pynchot worries that Andrew and Charlie might see each other again and that Andrew will have Charlie kill them all.  Hollister brings Andrew his pills and tells Andrew, he will be sent to Maui soonWhen Hollister leaves, Andrew goes to the bathroom and spits out his pillsRainbird takes Charlie riding after giving her a horse named NecromancerHollister continues to test Charlie's abilities and she passes all of the tests and during the tests the DSI Technicians continue to be amazed of her powers to heat the area.  After the test, Charlie demands to see Andrew.  Andrew tests his abilities on the television and realizes he is regaining his powerDr. Pynchot wants to do more tests, but Hollister and Rainbird thinks they have tested her enoughOn a walk, Hollister tells Andrew he is leaving for Maui that day and Andrew uses his mind power to force Hollister to make sure Charlie is with him when he leavesAndrew writes a note to Charlie telling her they are going to escape soon and has Hollister give it to her.  Charlie tells Rainbird about what Andrew wrote.  Agent Hunt walks in and tells Charlie he will be taking her to the stablesRainbird goes to the stables and hides in the loft with a revolverHunt brings Charlie to the stable and then Charlie orders Hunt to leaveAs they are going to the barn, Hollister tells Andrew how Rainbird convinced Charlie to do the experiments.  Rainbird calls to Charlie, but before he can grab her, Andrew and Hollister walk into the barn and Charlie runs to Andrew and they hugCharlie tells Andrew that Rainbird is there and Andrew tells her the truth about RainbirdAndrew tells Hollister to kill Rainbird and Rainbird shoots Hollister in the headAndrew uses his powers to make Rainbird jump and Rainbird shoots Andrew in the neckRainbird shoots at Charlie and she melts the bullet and makes him combustBefore dying, Andrew tells Charlie to kill everyone she has to in order to escape and tells her he loves herCharlie then goes outside the barn after letting the horses out of their stablesShe kills Dr. Pynchot by firing a large fireball at him, sends waves of flame that engulf Knowles, kills Hunt with a fireball, engulfs Steinowitz in a wave of fire, shoots a fireball at Bates that makes his body fly into a treeother and kills every other member of The Shop, while also destroying all of the buildingsShe hitchhikes back to Irv and Norma's and they take her to the New York Times to tell her story.

Detailed Synopsis

Rainbird tracks down Andrew and Charlie and uses a tranquilizer rifle to shoot them with tranquilizer darts, rendering them unconscious. Andrew and Charlie are brought to The Shop where DSI Orderlies restrain Andrew while Dr. Pynchot tells Andrew that Charlie is okay. Dr. Pynchot introduces himself after Andrew tries to escape and tells Andrew he is at The Shop. Hollister brings coco to Charlie and she demands to know where Andrew is. Hollister tells her they want to study her powers. After Hollister leaves, Charlie tests her powers to make the coco boil. Andrew is forced to take pills by the DSI Orderlies while Charlie is given toys. Rainbird goes into Charlie's room posing as a janitor and tries to make friends with her. Hollister and Dr. Pynchot test Andrew's abilities and send in Albright to speak with Andrew. Andrew tells Albright to put ink in his water and tries to make him drink it, but fails. Rainbird eventually fools Charlie into being his friend by appealing to her sense of empathy when the power goes out due to a storm and he tells her he is afraid of the dark from his experience from being a POW in Vietnam. Charlie agrees to the tests and Dr. Pynchot has her set wood on fire as the first test. The DSI Technicians notice the intense waves as she conducts the test and how quickly she is able to make the temperature rise. After she passes the test, a DSI technician that was in the room with her runs out and leaves the door open. Dr. Pynchot worries that Andrew and Charlie might see each other again and that Andrew will have Charlie kill them all. Hollister brings Andrew his pills and tells Andrew, he will be sent to Maui soon. When Hollister leaves, Andrew goes to the bathroom and spits out his pills. Rainbird takes Charlie riding after giving her a horse named Necromancer. Hollister continues to test Charlie's abilities and she passes all of the tests and during the tests the DSI Technicians continue to be amazed of her powers to heat the area. After the test, Charlie demands to see Andrew. Andrew tests his abilities on the television and realizes he is regaining his power. Dr. Pynchot wants to do more tests, but Hollister and Rainbird thinks they have tested her enough. On a walk, Hollister tells Andrew he is leaving for Maui that day and Andrew uses his mind power to force Hollister to make sure Charlie is with him when he leaves. Andrew writes a note to Charlie telling her they are going to escape soon and has Hollister give it to her. Charlie tells Rainbird about what Andrew wrote. Agent Hunt walks in and tells Charlie he will be taking her to the stables. Rainbird goes to the stables and hides in the loft with a revolver. Hunt brings Charlie to the stable and then Charlie orders Hunt to leave. As they are going to the barn, Hollister tells Andrew how Rainbird convinced Charlie to do the experiments. Rainbird calls to Charlie, but before he can grab her, Andrew and Hollister walk into the barn and Charlie runs to Andrew and they hug. Charlie tells Andrew that Rainbird is there and Andrew tells her the truth about Rainbird. Andrew tells Hollister to kill Rainbird and Rainbird shoots Hollister in the head. Andrew uses his powers to make Rainbird jump and Rainbird shoots Andrew in the neck. Rainbird shoots at Charlie and she melts the bullet and makes him combust. Before dying, Andrew tells Charlie to kill everyone she has to in order to escape and tells her he loves her. Charlie then goes outside the barn after letting the horses out of their stables. She kills Dr. Pynchot by firing a large fireball at him, sends waves of flame that engulf Knowles, kills Hunt with a fireball, engulfs Steinowitz in a wave of fire, shoots a fireball at Bates that makes his body fly into a treeother and kills every other member of The Shop, while also destroying all of the buildings. She hitchhikes back to Irv and Norma's and they take her to the New York Times to tell her story.
